Baltimore Cruiser Posted December 14, 2010 #53 Share Posted December 14, 2010 We will be on Freedom of Seas, our room is under the back area of the formal dining room, any thoughts? I don't mind noise as long as it isn't in the middle of the night. Even with that, I can bring earplugs.
SeMi57 Posted December 16, 2010 #54 Share Posted December 16, 2010 First time cruiser here and I am on EOS in March 11, 2011 in room 7690. it is not the aft/port corner but the next one. Does anyone have any comments about this cabin?
DKNE Posted January 6, 2011 #55 Share Posted January 6, 2011 Adventure of the Seas Deck 7 7618, 7620, 7622 Any thoughts? Its near the library, not sure how many people go in there, but its overlooking the promanade 2 floors up. Thanks.
Tripledouble Posted January 6, 2011 #56 Share Posted January 6, 2011 Does anyone know about cabin 6214 on the Adventure. I don't remember if the balcony has an obstructed view. It is at the very front of the ship. This was my first time taking a guarantee stateroom and this is what we were given. Any help would be appreciated. MKE T-Bad Posted January 6, 2011 #57 Share Posted January 6, 2011 Ended up in a room above the casino on a trip, and heard the "tinging" of slots until weeeee hours of the morning. :( At least it made it sound like somebody was winning! Also avoid the rooms above the discos. Unless that is the kind of "white noise" that puts you to sleep.
SailorMom37 Posted January 6, 2011 #58 Share Posted January 6, 2011 It's not a disco, or the casino.... We're right above Pharaoh's Palace on Freedom of the Seas, balcony and interior. Looks like a lounge with music - but a lot of seating. Anyway - anyone been above this? I suppose the exact cabin doesn't really matter... but we're in 6224 and 6225. Thanks! Director of Family Fun Posted January 22, 2011 #59 Share Posted January 22, 2011 I'm having trouble weighing the value of stability on deck 6 vs. less noise on deck 8 in a promenade room on Navigator of the Seas. Traveling with a 13 year old that will stay up until 11ish but sleeps lightly. Which would you choose? Right now we are in 8563 and 8561 (connecting). donnysmom Posted January 25, 2011 #61 Share Posted January 25, 2011 Lady Cruiser, I hope you're not on same sailing as I am, since I have 9618! You are on the 3/31/11 sailing, right?
Debbb1 Posted January 27, 2011 #62 Share Posted January 27, 2011 This is the first time we will have gotten a room in the front tip of the ship (normally do mid-ship).Will we feel every wave and hear everything in the Imperial lounge? Cant tell if the lounge is directly below or not. I'm a light sleeper but will have ear plugs !!!
waxing witch Posted February 18, 2011 #63 Share Posted February 18, 2011 just upgraded to this cabin (for a song!). any one have any feelings one way or another about it? when i spoke with rci rep last night there were numerous cabins left in superior oceanview. ALSO. does anyone have any photos of a superior oceanview? this is our first time sailing rci so i'm not familiar with any of the cabins. aside from what is shown on the website, and i know that a standard ov doesn't have a sitting area like the layout claims. Mr. Bungle Posted February 18, 2011 #64 Share Posted February 18, 2011 Room 8060 on Majesty... Nice location on the ship. Close to the elevators and a few flights of stairs to the pool and W.J. Obstructed view but the window is right between two life-boats. The Spectrum lounge is at the end of the hall on this deck... 4 night Bahamas cruise during spring break. 2 nights out of 4 we were woken up by intoxicated co-eds leaving the lounge and knocking on doors. It was fun watching them lick their wounds the next morning...
stefanny28 Posted February 18, 2011 #65 Share Posted February 18, 2011 We are planning 2 PR cabin on Adventure of the Seas. Does anyone has info or picture of cabins 8553 or 8561. Also, is there a lot of motion at the back of the ship? How about cabin 8690/8692 or 8390/8932? Those are aft balcony cabins. Any picture? Stockyjim Posted February 19, 2011 #66 Share Posted February 19, 2011 Hi Everyone Has anyone got experience/ photos of this SO room? We booked at end cause thought would be good to be near lifts/gym. Now heard you might hear lots of noise from the nearby facilities. thanks Jim

Mrsg324 Posted March 7, 2011 #68 Share Posted March 7, 2011 We had a promenade room on royal caribbean and noise was not a problem. It was nice having a window and you could watch the action from your cabin. The only downside was that the promenade room directly across from you could see in your room if the drapes were not drawn. We enjoyed the promenade room and would book one over an inside anyday. Hope that helps. :) We were in 7579, 2 levels directly above Pig & Whistle. While you could hear the music, it was not loud at all. We never went to bed early anyway and would do a Promenade room again in the future. The room seemed to have much more room than any inside we were ever in before.
GrandmaDi Posted March 11, 2011 #69 Share Posted March 11, 2011 We just got off the Liberty of the Seas in 7708 corner aft. Would not allow lounge chairs. They said they changed their policy and do not allow the LOUNGE chairs anymore. We had 3 in our room and I had to talk to 3 different people to get just another regular CHAIR! Very disappointed because that is why i booked this room so I could lounge on the balcony. QTBabyNurse Posted September 21, 2011 #72 Share Posted September 21, 2011 Has anyone ever stayed in the most forward cabins on the Allure or the Oasis? These are oceanview cabins that look out over the bow of the ship. I'm curious to know what did you think regarding motion, noise and such and which deck you were on. Please share! :)
1stcruisers_famjam Posted January 7, 2014 #73 Share Posted January 7, 2014 Our family (of 4) is going for the first time and i have put a cabin on hold, deck 8. Is this an ok spot for a large inside stateroom? Any tips for the newbies? I am worried about being sea sick though, but still want to try it out. Thanks!!! Silversands Posted March 16, 2014 #75 Share Posted March 16, 2014 Our family (of 4) is going for the first time and i have put a cabin on hold, deck 8. I think the best place to avoid any motion of the ship is a mid deck and a cabin in the middle section of the mid deck. Take some sea sickness tablets for the first couple of days until you get used to what little motion there is and supplement it with some ginger - works a trick for me. Have a wonderful Cruise.
