PCruzer Posted May 12, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2009 Has anyone done the LOST tour while in port in Oahu? Looking at the Hawaiian Escapades tour of the LOST filming sites. Did they pick you up at the pier?
Preds Posted May 13, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2009 I'm not familiar with the tour you're talking about, however, I can highly recommend Hawaii Hummer Tours which is owned by Ed Kos. Ed is also a huge fan of LOST and if you love LOST the way we do, you'll defnately enjoy his tour! We did Ed's tour last month and it was awesome! Lots of LOST sites, many you can only get to with him since they're on private property at Kualoa Ranch and he's the only one contracted to get to some of the more remote places on the ranch where many of the film sites are. He had some great knowledge about the LOST locations, and some funny stories about some of the actors. Here's his site http://www.hummertourshawaii.com/ Here's some Trip Advisor reviews for Hawaii Hummer Tours: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g60982-d1048798-Reviews-Hummer_Tours_Hawaii-Honolulu_Oahu_Hawaii.html
Preds Posted May 13, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 13, 2009 Also, if you decide to get a rental car and do some self-touring of LOST sites, this is a GREAT site to find out where to go: http://www.lostvirtualtour.com/ I wish I would ahve found that site before our trip last April. We'll definitaley be using it when we return to Oahu next February!

The Hummer Tour to the Lost locations is the best. Also, when you go to Kauai try http://www.hawaiimovietour.com Some great films locations there including Jurassic Park, etc.
sprout76 Posted May 13, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 13, 2009 Preds...thanks for the info! I was looking into a LOST tour since I'm a huge fan (and my husband is one by association)!! This tour sounds wonderful...I think we'll be doing it before we board the ship in February.
PCruzer Posted May 14, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted May 14, 2009 One more question - will they pick you up at the cruise ship pier? We arrive at the Island of Oahu at 8 am and leave at 11 pm. Are the tours at set times?
Preds Posted May 14, 2009 #7 Share Posted May 14, 2009 One more question - will they pick you up at the cruise ship pier? We arrive at the Island of Oahu at 8 am and leave at 11 pm. Are the tours at set times? I would call Ed. They pickup from the Waikiki Hotels for the 5 hour tour, thus I'd be surprised if they don't pickup from the pier as well. As for the tour times, as I recall, the 5 hour tours are at 7am or 1pm. Obviously the afternoon tour works better with the ship schedule. I'd suggest you give Ed a call at (808) 561-2440. He's very responsive and easy to talk to.
