BlackJack2 Posted May 27, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2009 We are looking at a couple of ocean view cabins on the Westerdam, on the Main Deck. Some available cabins are directly below the Piano Bar. Can you hear the noise from the Piano Bar in the cabin below? We have only sailed on HAL's R Class ships. How does the Vista Class compare? How do their ocean view cabins compare? Many thanks for any info!!

dmlee1990 Posted May 27, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 27, 2009 In April we had a cabin below one of the lounges (cabin 1005) and we did hear a little bit of the music, but nothing that kept us awake at night. Unless you are a very light sleeper, there shouldn't be a problem. We enjoyed this oceanview cabin. The windows are very large, not just a small porthole. When in port, our girls enjoyed sitting next to the window and waved at the passengers getting on and off the ship. The cabin is a good size too. Not too cramped.....and we had four in the cabin. Good luck in your choice.

You will find the ship itself much larger than the R-class ships. But the outside cabins are noticeably smaller.
