Close cruise day before departure?!

Why would RC close the cruises at 3 PM the day before departure? Just got my passport in the mail today and wanted to leave asap, but they wouldn't take my money on the phone this afternoon for a tomorrow departure. Now I'm depressed all over again. First, waiting for passport for four weeks, and now this.:mad:

they need to get the manifest to customs and immigration i think.

Agree, don't think it is an RCI regulation, but a governmental one. Every since 9/11 rules have changed a lot.

Actually it is a Homeland Security issue now as they require the full manifest about 48 hours before.

 

BTW No Caribbean cruises actually need a passport, you can still use the birth certificate and photo id. Kudos for getting it though.

the manifest needs to be in 2-3 days prior to sailing...unsure which:confused:
