GLORY vs MIRACLE - Short & quick mini review

Got home at 10:30 last night. Bed not turned down, no towel animal; BACK TO REALITY! :(

Anyway, here goes. Loved both cruise experiences on Golry and Miricale.

Embarcation and disembarking were much smoother and fassster at Port Canaveral than in New York. As self disembarks were getting off ship, numbers were being called for those who left luggage out night before. After being outside waiting for shuttle, started seeing people with numbers in upper 20's and mid 30's going by. Very fast and orderly.

About the ships. The Miricale is a lot more easy to navigate around the ship. Glory has two main dining rooms with a connecting galley. The Platinum Dining Room is aft and the Golden Dining Room is midship. Both occupy decks 3 and 4. When meals are not being served, you can pass through the Golden Dining Room. But sometimes doors locked and you have to go down to deck 2 or up to deck 5 to get fore and aft. Frustrating a few times when trying to get down to Guest Services, Excursion Desk, and atrium bar/lounge area on deck 3.

Had wonderful experience in spa with gym facilities, locker room and massages. Both GF and I had Hot Stone massages instead of usual Deep Tissue. Very Relaxing, got out knots in shoulders and lower back. Unfortunately it seemed the spa whirlpool was closed more than it was open. Yes, there are two other whirlpool areas at the Lido Azure and Turquoise pools, but packed with kids. Hard to relax when kids jumping in and out,and swimming around in whirlpool.

An older couple (Nana & Papa) in our group had a small set back with there cabin location. We (8 in party, 3 cabins) were all on deck 6 Upper Deck. Nana & Papa were forward in 6223 (inside cabin). Very noisy most evenings until 11:30 or midnight due to Amber Palace (main show hall) being forward on decks 3, 4 & 5.

Self laundry facility very clean, did excellent job. Will pack a little lighter next cruise.

Food, Staff and Facilities were same wonderful :) Carnival experience on both ships. Would we do Glory again, YES. Prefer Miricale out of New York, or next experience on Pride in Baltimore to be able to drive from Cape Cod instead of Flying.

May post longer full review after unpacking, sorting, and falling back into reality. Can't find my Drink of the the Day. Oh yeah, now it's my coffee.
