The World leaving San Francisco

While in SF this weekend, I saw this cruise ship docked at Pier 39 and later, watched it sail under the Golden Gate Bridge. I took a picture as it was heading out to sea from Bakers Beach in the Presidio.

The world is tied up in downtown Portland this week. It's so strange to see a cruise ship so far up river. I can't look at it without trying to think of some way to get a peek inside...

We watched her sail away this morning (I was in the line of cars while the Burnside bridge was up). I knew it was going to fit under the Steel Bridge but boy the stacks were close to the bottom structure of the raised bridge!

I then did some online browsing just to see how the "other half" lives (maybe that's really the "other tenth of a percent" :-)
