Cash Account SeaPass Questions

If you have cash left on account at end of cruise,

How do you obtain reimbursement?

I am assuming you would need to go to Guest Service on last night?

And if you don't do that, RCI will keep the money?

Does anyone know the cash deposit amount required for 7 night cruise?

Or if cash deposit is required?

One poster's experience was that he was not required to make deposit on cash account. Then when charges reached $500, he was contacted to pay it down.

When contacted to make payment,

Can you use a credit card to make the lump payment?

I assume traveler's checks are also accepted.

When they contact you to make payment,

I assume that after making cash payment for the charges,

the cycle starts again until you reach $500 again.

Do you set up cash SeaPass Account at Guest Service once on the ship?

Or at embarkation?

Basically, the answer to most of your questions is "yes", you have heard correctly. You tell them at pier check-in that you are setting up a cash account, then you do it onboard at Guest Relations.

They don't usually require that you give them any cash at first, although you can. If there is leftover cash, or if you owe money, you have to settle up the last night. If it's not settled by morning of disembarkation, you will be paged over the ship's PA system and everyone will know. :D

You can also settle with Traveler's Cheques or a credit card, or a combination of the three.

Merion Mom,

Thank you :)

When doing on-line check in, if you select "cash" option,

I assume that when you get to port,

you can change to credit card option?

Yes, absolutely. Whip out a credit card, and they will gladly take it!
