best to get to Amtrak from pier

we have friends that are traveling with us they are in there 70"s we will be on X ( ballantyne)I am guessing they can take a cab to the train station but thought maybe someone out there has done it so I can help them plan MyDH and I are staying the night so they will be on there own. and an idea of cost of cab. thanks for any help

Hi:) I did this last year and will be going again in September.

After they get off the train they need to get their bags.

There are plenty of taxis out front so that was not a problem at all.

I can't remember the exact cab fare but I am quite sure it cost

me less than 20 bucks.
