CrownCruiserKK Posted July 3, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 3, 2009 Quick question for those of you who might have experienced this before: My husband and parents will be sailing on the CB on 7/17 for my mom's 60th birthday. Our dear family friends have decided they want in on the action. The boat is completely wait-listed. Any idea on the odds that they will get a cabin? I know its hard to give an idea not knowing what the list looks like, but perhaps there are those out there who have had experience. I think they will take any category lower than a mini-suite. Thanks in advance :)

Thanks in advance :) If you are asking about a couple of weeks from now July 17th, I would not hold my breathe. Final payment has been made and although there might be a few last minute cancellations, I would not think there is much hope. Sorry!
paul929207 Posted July 3, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 3, 2009 Like Toto said, the odds are not good. There is always the chance of a last minute cancellation. Unless they are at the very top ofthe list, there is little hope for them.
CrownCruiserKK Posted July 3, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted July 3, 2009 Thanks! I knew you all would have answers. Too bad! But I'm sure we will have the opportunity to cruise with them again in the future. And while I will not hold my breath, I can always cross my fingers :)

Thanks in advance :) Actually I have to disagree about being a long shot. Are they waitlisted in all cats? Do they have air already lined up? Things change right up to sailing, we were waitlisted on the Emerald and the ship was oversold by 35 cabins. we waitlisted many cats. We were called on Fri (ship sailed on Sat) and offered a balcony cabin. We already had air lined up and we took it. worked out great. :)
Pia1913 Posted July 3, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 3, 2009 Noticing you live in NY, the fact that you don't need air is a plus. Ask Princess where exactly they would be on the wait list. The cruise is only 15 days away. As Keith stated, waitlist in all cats and the chances might be better than you think.
