Sorry, no, there are no amusement parks anywhere in the downtown core.

 

There is Playland, but it is not in downtown. It is about a 15-20 minute drive east of downtown.

From the website, it seems that most of the adult rides are thrill type of rides,

and has a carnival atmosphere.

 

If you have been to Knotts Berry Farm or Six Flags Magic Mountain,
