HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO cruzin w chris: Actually, anyone that uses an ATM on the cruise ship, or any other casino for that matter, is a big loser.

I don't even bring my ATM card on the cruise. I have so much money set aside for the casino, and when it's gone, it's gone! Time to quit playing:)

Hi all,

I'm sailing on my first cruise in May to Alaska on the Island Princess [28 sleeps]. A friend of mine had sailed the Panama transit 3 years ago and forgot to cash in some tokens from the casino. She gave me the tokens for some "good luck playing" on my cruise. Would they be useable?

Thanks

If by "token" you mean casino chip, and IF the ship has not changed the design of their chip, you may be able to use them.

Just to be on the safe side, you might want to check at the casino services desk before betting them at the tables. I'd hate to have them give you trouble at the table.

I like to watch the slots for a bit, then jump in. Advice always bet the max lines. So if it has 40 lines play them all even if you play 1 cent per line!

Max lines gives you more opportunities to win, but you will not win big unless you also play max coin - i.e. bet the maximum on every line.

It's amazing to me how many people do not read the fine print on the machine, and don't know that you have no chance at the big jackpots on most machines unless you are playing max lines & max coin.

Of course, I understand that the max line/max coin bet on even a penny machine can add up fast. It can easily be a $5 bet, which is why you see so many people playing lower credits and lower line bets. But if you want a shot at the big jackpots, you have to find a machine where you can afford the max bet.

Yeah....max coin, but I like the max line and if it starts looking like it is a looser machine I will up the number of coins....

Ahh, but the drawback to that is that the machine will often have a higher rate of return for a higher bet & line level. So it won't seem "looser" until you are playing at the max coin/max line level.

I play mainly keno slots in both land and ship casinos and have hit several $800 and numerous $400 pots. Tip $20 to attendant each time. I did hit a Vegas casino for $6,250 once and tipped $100. Actually left ahead that time. :D

By your winning amounts it looks like you play 6 numbers. Have you tried four card keno? I have good luck on them when I overlap numbers. I play 2-6s, 1-7 and 1-9 overlapping some of the numbers. Very few ships offer 4 card keno.

You're exactly right, carlosv.

I mainly play 5 numbers with 2 coins bet ($0.50).

Wifie found 4 card keno and just loves it. Although you can lose a lot more a lot quicker she has hit 6/6 a few times. I just hope that the Magic has video keno and not that annoying Caveman game. :D

I had to laugh when you mentioned caveman keno. I too find it annoying. Yet, one time when I was down on my luck, I tried it and won. Who knew!
