What do you do for dinner the first night back home?

Well, I walk down the stairs and my eyes start scanning for people pushing and shoving into an elevator

Then I go to my dining room table and wait for someone to push my chair in after I sit down

I stare at my napkin waiting for someone to place it in my lap

I then wait for the basket of hard rolls and tiny frozen butters to appear

When those don't arrive, I keep looking for a menu to be placed in my hands

Then I wonder who is going to brush the crumbs off the tablecloth when I make a mess

As I'm patiently waiting, I try to figure out how 3 different desserts with little swirls and chocolate blobs are going to magically appear at the end

The worst part...

staring at the bed waiting for someone to turn it down and place a towel animal on it

:::::SIGH:::::::::

I really like my own meatballs and sauce so whenever we go away I always leave a frozen meal in the freezer. Then we just thaw it out, boil some pasta and have a nice easy meal.

Yep!! Thats what I do...good homemade meatballs and sauce...Very easy just heat up.

After all that great food and service during your cruise, it is a bummer to come home and face reality to have to fix dinner again. That first night, is the pits. Refrigerator is usually empty, snacks all gone, etc...

Do you usually order in, go pick something up, fix a frozen pizza?

I usually make a pasta casserole before I leave and freeze it. Pull it out when we get home and bake along with a loaf of garlic bread. Quick and simple.

Skip dinner....that's when the dieting begins:(!

On the last night of my first cruise, our dining room staff told us that tomorrow night we would have to get reacquainted with our microwave. I laughed along with everyone else. Then when I got home and found out how right he was, I wasn't laughing anymore!

After the second cruise when the same thing happened, I decided that the next time, I just wasn't going to get off (wish me luck) ;).

I like to put on a nice dress and pair of heels, go sit down in the dining room and wait for my waiters to take my order. If the service is too slow there, I move to the kitchen table and wait for the waiters in that room to appear. After being really disappointed with the service aboard this ship, we call out to the Chinese restaurant that delivers.

LMAO. We are usually having withdrawls from not eating every 2 hours on the way home, so we usually order pizza. The next day is grocery shopping and back to reality.
