CaribKng Posted July 19, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2009 We are going to be on the Legend on 2-14-10 and will be going to Grand Cayman. Can anyone tell me if this is a dock port or will it be tendered? If it is tendered can anyone tell me how long it generally takes to get a tender if you are not doing a shore excursion through the cruise line? Any information provided is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
CruiseLover824 Posted July 19, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2009 It is a tender port. The distance to the shore isn't very far, so they keep people moving pretty well. They do allow the people with shore excursions to go down first...we had to show tickets to get down to zero deck. There were also people on our tender who did not have excursions. I believe that they had to go to a lounge to get a tender sticker. So, if you want to get an early tender, just get to the designated lounge early! DDFla Posted July 19, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2009 Tendered, and it depends on the ship, weather, and amount of passengers, but It's not a long wait either direction. It was my first trip out of the US in 1979, and I wasn't on a ship, so a sentimental favorite even though it's nothing like it was then.
txmomto1 Posted July 19, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 19, 2009 We did not have an excursion, and we were still one of the first people at our beach club that day. The whole process was really easy.
Name Of The Game Posted July 19, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 19, 2009 Re the tender ports (Gr Cayman and Belize), does everyone in the family have to go to the lounge early to get the tender tickets or can one family member bring them back for everyone else?
