hunter33 Posted July 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2009 We plan to eat lunch in Marigot on a Wednesday in October, and understand there are some nice restaurants around the waterfront area. Any recommendations or personal favorites, and do the servers typically understand English? Thanks

hunter33 Posted July 28, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted July 28, 2009 Thanks for the recommendation. I had been doing some digging on the Marigot Waterfront website, found L'Oizeau Rare, and had already penciled it in. They have their own page there showing menu, drinks, etc. It shows "The Rare Bird" as the English translation :) I like that it's very near Fort St. Louis too because we plan to walk up there for pics. The Moroccan restaurant looks interesting too, but maybe more for dinner.
The Big Booper Posted July 28, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 28, 2009 Lots of nice places at the Marina. Watch out for the ciggies, the French like to puff away. We always sit outside and look for a table next to non-smokers. All my pics of the Marina date from when I was using film cameras, got to digitalize them. m steve Posted July 29, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 29, 2009 I think any of these are worth stopping at. We've had lunch in several and all good. Avoid La Vie en Rose as they are quite expensive and quality has dropped over the years. Try the fish soup or crepes.

Yummm!! Let us know where you go. L'Oizeau Rare looks great. Le Saint Severin isn't on the waterfront but is on the road towards th eDutch side and suppose to be very good and have low prices.
