Blackjack Mins on Destiny

First time cruiser here, so forgive me if this has been asked before.

What are the blackjack minimums on the Destiny and do they ever change throughout the day/week/cruise?

I play blackjack only for fun (am reasonably okay at it), so I hate to spend too much on it. Was hoping they had very low minimums and needed to know how much to allocate for it.

Thanks in advance!

HAHAHA! Okay Ferris.

You will find MOST cruise ships will have 5 dollar minimum tables. They cater to the newbies that don't want to put up a lot of money while they are learning. The ship you are going on will most definitely have ten dollar minimum as well. But count on them having BOTH. Good luck. HAHA!

Thanks, Yo!

That's what I was hoping for - $5 mins. As said, I play purely for fun & am not taking a ton of $$$, so I didn't want to put a lot of money into it, esp. if I hit a bad streak.

Heck, I'd play it if it were $1 hands...not that I could ever see a casino doing that (well, exc. for that one in Las Vegas Vacation, perhaps)...lol.

The key to winning at blackjack is money management and KNOWING when to stop while you are ahead. Set up a budget. Perhaps 250 dollar bank. If you are ahead 50 dollars at a table. Get up and LEAVE to either go to another table or come back later. If you lose fifty at one table. Stop and get UP!. And don't increase your bets to try to make up losses. You will mostly end up shooting yourself in the foot.

And NEVER play at a 6:5 blackjack table either if they have one. I don't care if it only has one deck. Sucker table. Good luck!

On the Carnival cruises I've been on, most tables have a $5 minimum. On the first night of the cruise, they hae some tables with a $3 minimum. The minimums don't really change during the day, but they usually have one $25 table at night (if they are getting some action), and they may switch one or two tables to $10 minimum at night as well.

However, every cruise I've ever been on, I could always find a $5 table to sit down at any time I was in the casino.
