OkieFive Posted July 30, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2009 I was reading the info on our cruise on the Elation and saw that the Elation does not have hair dryers Is this right? I couldn't believe it, and decided to post the question to all of you seasoned cruisers. Thanks in advance. Cathie

welldone60 Posted July 30, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 30, 2009 We were in a 4C and there was one. It was not the type like motels have, just a cheap small one, so it could have been left there.
pokergirl34 Posted July 30, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 30, 2009 I did not find one last week, and I had packed my own in anticipation of this. If I had known I could have asked our steward for one, I would not have brought one. LOL
BlueC5Kitten Posted July 30, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 30, 2009 I had a 6E room and there was no hair dryer. For the most part, hotel hair dryers and those on cruise ships are insufficient for my hair anyway, so I bring my brush dryer which works twice as quickly and the result is consistent with what I get at home. YMMV!
PlanoDebbie Posted July 30, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 30, 2009 It's been 4 years since I was on the Elation in an ocean-view cabin, but no hair dryer is installed in the room. You can ask your room steward to bring you one, but if you have long or thick hair you'd be better to bring your own from home.
OkieFive Posted July 30, 2009 Author #7 Share Posted July 30, 2009 Thanks, everyone. I will bring my hair dryer. Knew I could get the answer here. I would have thought that hair dryers were just a standard "ammenity".
WitchyWoman14 Posted July 30, 2009 #8 Share Posted July 30, 2009 I think our cabin Steward had them when we sailed the Elation... Can't remember though. I am super paranoid and have to bring my own "just in case".. :o
Darlipoo Posted July 30, 2009 #9 Share Posted July 30, 2009 I've been in a suite and a inside cabin and neither one had hairdryers on the Elation. The people that find them were probably those left by past passengers and maybe the cabin attendents save them for "special" cruisers?
dear23 Posted July 30, 2009 #10 Share Posted July 30, 2009 I was just on the Elation last week, and although there wasn't a hair dryer in the room, my awesome room steward brought me one (and I didn't even ask!).
