suziehmkr Posted May 11, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2004 Hello! It has been SEVERAL years since I have been on a cruise. I tried to search the boards, but we all know that is futile. Do they ever offer casino table lessons on the ship, like they do in Las Vegas? Thought it would be fun to learn something new! suziehmkr Posted May 11, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted May 11, 2004 Fantastic! Thanks! Could be fun on sea days when I am done frying at the pool! Thanks again! the_psycho Posted May 11, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 11, 2004 While they do offer lessons in the table games that they have onboard (craps, blackjack, caribbean stud poker, roulette), I would highly suggest learning the rules and the bets to make while you are at home. The ships are notorious for offering sucker bets on their table games, which should always be avioded. There is a great website http://www.wizardofodds.com that teaches you about the intracies of these games and others, as well as what bets to avoid and take. I hope this helps. -BK
[b]Ahh, the signature. Home of useless ramblings, tired quotes, and a list of every vacation you've ever taken. amaddog10 Posted May 11, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 11, 2004 but you don't really need lessons...the games are all basically the same.....you put your money down on the table...and they pick it up! kitty1 Posted May 11, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 11, 2004 They offer lessons in the Casino. There is also a channel on the TV that explains how the different games work.
suziehmkr Posted May 11, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted May 11, 2004 Great! Thanks for the tips... amaddog10 - I do agree with you, which is why I rarely sit at tables in Vegas. I would love to learn roulette & craps, so why not absorb some on vacation right? As long as they don't absorb too much of my $$$ Legend of the Seas 06/13/04 Viking Serenade 6/1992 Roll Call Legend of the Seas 06/13/04 Click Here!
lisajoy Posted May 12, 2004 #8 Share Posted May 12, 2004 My DH watched the tv channel and learned how to play roullette (?) I don't know how to spell. Anyway walked up to the table with $20 and walked away with $300 in 10 mins.
