Best time of day for helicopter tour in Hilo

We will be in Hilo next April and plan on doing the Circle of Fire helicopter tour with Blue Hawaiian. As the tour will only take up a couple of hours, we're also thinking of doing the Cave, Lagoon and Waterfall Trek (NCL tour). This tour lasts 3.5 hrs and goes at 9 am or 1.30 pm, so I'd be looking to book the helicopter either at 10 am or 3 pm. Weatherwise, is it better to do the Circle of Fire in the morning or the afternoon, or doesn't it matter? Thanks!

That's great - decision made! Really looking forward to this trip. We have already done a helicopter tour in Kauai (and LOVED it, despite Martin being scared of flying!!), so having the chance to see the volcanoes "up close" will be thrilling. Thanks for the advice. :)
