How are HAL casinos?

My family is considering a cruise on the Westerdam specifically and, for my husband, not having a Hold 'Em table is a deal breaker. Can anyone chime in on how elaborate the casinos on HAL are?

We are going on the Westerdam on Oct. 25th, for 2 weeks, and they do have a Hold Em table. I believe it is an automated table. The rake is a little high, but you don't need to worry about bad dealers who you need to watch to insure no mistakes are made.

Thanks for the reply, benatty. We decided not to go on the Westerdam over Thanksgiving this year, but I think we may again in the future (I just booked the Crown Princess instead). Filing this info away for the future ... I hope you write a review of the ship when you get back. And have fun!

My hubby loves poker, so he played a lot on the Noordam's "automated" table. Check out this photo of the table and a brief comment from DH about how it worked...

 

 

He also liked to play blackjack. They had several tournaments throughout the cruise.

I have cruised on the Satendam and the Eurodam. They both had Texas Holdem Tounnements

Does the Eurodam have blackjack tournaments too? If so, how much is the buy in?

So did the Zaandam, as well as having regular Texas Holdem games. That is where hubby spent most of his casino time. Real dealer, not automated.
