Honmooner Posted August 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2009 It's a small island with not much going on. You can snorkel and rent banana boats, etc. Has anyone been there before? What is worth it? I was looking into a clamshell with 2 chairs because I am an Irish whitey. Is that my only hope of nice shade? Thanks!!!
Rare Keith1010 Posted August 17, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2009 We've been there on a couple of Princess Sailings. We are not big beach people but actually enjoyed it. You can sit around if you would like and of course have lunch there. You can also go into the water as you noted. There are some areas with shade but get them first. Magellan321 Posted August 20, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2009 We've been to Princess Cays four times and have never had a problem finding shaded loungers. The clam-shells tend to become mini ovens:p on sunny days. We've only been to the left of the tender area on our last 3 trips.
pmcue Posted August 20, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 20, 2009 I highly recommend getting one of the Cabanas. They come with water, Ice, Soft Drinks, Snorkle Gear and Floaties. Get someone else to go in with you and you will love it. Get one down the beach away from the crowds. Everyone seems to just go to the closest area of the beach and it gets crowded. hummer88 Posted September 18, 2009 #5 Share Posted September 18, 2009 When you say "cabanas" do you mean the bungalows offered by Princess or are they through another group?
