Table tennis on Jewel ?

Is there a table tennis table on the Jewel and if so are there any organised tournaments?

I'm sailing shortly to the Baltics and it's my first cruise with NCL.

Yes, there are several table tennis tables. I don't know whether there was an official tournament. But, by all means, if there are enough interested participants, query the Cruise Director, and I'm sure s/he would be happy to set one up.

Are the table tennis tables self leveling like the bowling alleys?;)

I have read other posts here that say the equipment is not in good shape...if a 'pong fan, bring your own paddle and balls.

Just came back from the Baltics cruise on the Jewel. Yes, there were ping pong tables, but they were standard tables just sitting on the outside sports deck, so I don't think they would be considered self leveling.

 

We never saw or heard of any tournaments, but several times during the cruise there was a dedicated table tennis time posted in the Daily to organize group play.

Thanks all, I shall take a couple of bats and some balls on the strengh of your replies. On previous cruises if ship organised tournaments were held there was always the chance of winning a top of the range ice cream or the like, not to mention the glory.:D
