karlanee Posted December 29, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2004 We have 17 days left before our cruise. I've been planning like a mad woman - not over doing the planning, just doing lots of research. Been very excited. Now that it's 2 weeks away I was suddenly hit with the nervous nellies. Not about the cruise itself mind you. It that thing I always get when leaving on a trip - I have a list made, but am already fretting about what I've forgotten to pack - and it's not even close to packing time yet. Feel like I've got a million things to do - when it's not reality. Nervous about leaving our cats here for my cousin to watch. Nervous that we're leaving during winter and hoping that our pipes don't freeze while we're gone. Hoping I remember to tell my cousin everything since they can't really call us (unles an emergency). Anyone else have the nervous nellies before a cruise? AAHHHHHHH!!!! Thank you, I feel better. LOL

jeraboa Posted December 29, 2004 #3 Share Posted December 29, 2004 I know what you're saying, it can be overwhelming sometimes. But if you forget to pack something, buy new at the ports. Maybe it would be worth buying a little bit of internet time so you could email your cousin and just check things out. It might ease your mind some. I think once you get there, your worries will melt away with the warm sun and sea breeze!!!! Have a wonderful trip!
karlanee Posted December 29, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted December 29, 2004 They don't have email - so that won't work. They will my parents and my in-laws phone numbers as well as the cruise line number if it's a true emergency. The good thing is that his wife used to have cats, and he is a very good handyman - so if anyone is trustworthy and capable - they are.
