Very excited to notice that my 12 year old can accompany us to Giovanni's Table for dinner so I now have reserved my entertainment and specialty restaurants for the entire cruise. I feel very accomplished and relieved to be able to do this so soon for our Thanksgiving cruise. Thanks again BrianAlt!

Just thought of these:

1. Any thoughts or info on Giovanni's for lunch instead of dinner?

2. Which cut of beef at Chops do you think is the best choice?

3. A RCCL rep on the phone told me gratuity was included in the specialty restaurant surcharge. Was he mistaken?

Any chance at the very end of this guide you will offer us your rankings of the restaurants on board? In other words, if I had to pick 3 alternate dinner venues on Oasis besides the MDR, which ones should I choose with quality/price/value in mind? Hope my request makes sense...thanks for spending so much time with this!

really appreciate this thread...going on Oasis in November and can't decide what to do about meals. I want to try the best specialty restaurants, but do not want to pay tips to the main dining room staff when I am not there. I am still concerned about the etiquette of this on RCCL. We had very rude and aloof wait staff on Navigator and I still regret doing the advance automatic tipping. If we go to 3 or 4 specialty restaurants, I do not want to tip for 7 nights! Sorry to vent, but need some advice...

I am a teacher and I hae one of those portable blenders that I keep at school. HAL would never know mine is a blender. Most of my (perverted) colleagues think it is some kind of "adult" toy whenever I break it out to make my slimfast shake! LOL (We teachers are desperate for humor, believe me!
