I was issued a refund of $ on my credit card.

 

I started with a shareholder benefit + $ from TA. Tips, 1/2 the cost of t-pool charges and a few minor purchases were made on board, the rest refunded. Didn't "lose" one penny.

Talk about not losing a penny.

On one of our cruises with Celebrity we had spent all our OBC except for 1 penny. On our first credit card statement after the cruise there was a credit for 1 penny on that statement from Celebrity.

Has anyone take the shuttle to the Walmart in Ketchikan? Any info on where to get it, how long it takes to get there, how often it runs, etc. is appreciated.

Sorry I can’t help you with the shuttle in Ketchikan, but I’ll share a couple of experiences involving :cool:“Walmart Shuttles”:cool: and Walmart stores while on cruises.

First was on a cruise in the Hawaiian Islands. We were docked in Hilo. One of the things that was in our plans was to visit Hilo Hattie’s to purchase Moo Moo‘s. Our mode of transportation there was on the :cool:“Walmart Shuttle.”:cool: That shuttle came right to the ship and operated hourly.

Two years ago while on a river cruise on the Yangtze River in China, a group from our river boat was organized to visit a Walmart Store that was in one of the cities along the river. This proved to be most unusual and interesting to see what a Walmart looked like in China.

I use the TSA locks.

 

As I said over on the Carnival thread, if the cruise line wants/needs in my luggage, they should have a TSA key to open the locks.

Everyone that has a ball point pen has the master key to open a TSA lock.

Yesterday we received our Welcome Aboard Information and read about the two suitcase limit, then laughed because in the same envelope was three bag tags for each of us. We are doing the three day cruise on Sky, so not worried about luggage. But, we did get a good giggle over the contradiction.

Three could possibly be for 2 checked and 1 carry on each.

As pleased as I was with those 5 trips, I won't be taking any more with Grand Circle since they raised the price for singles by a whopping 15% for trips in 2008. Why, I don't know.

My guess would be, strong Euro, weak Dollar.
