We used RIL for our day in Rome and I would highly recommend them. The Colosseum does not need a guide, RIL organised our entry tickets and we spent free time there. I would recommend using their Vatican guide. It is just so busy, time is short. Like speed sight seeing, and there is not time to waste. Our driver told us the history of places, background information and made sure we spent as much time as possible in the important "must see" places. He did a good job.
