  1. I always pre arrange travel to the port and have the driver pre purchase and have in car. I tip him a little extra for doing this but it has always worked out great. I bring a near empty backpack and just load it up on the trip over. I have done it for the last time though- welcome aboard Mountain Dew!

anyone play craps on the ships?

Most ships have one time odds and a few have two times, even found one that pays the 3,4,5.

Just got off the Empress and was happy to see the casino is smoke free but only had 1 time odds unless your place bet was $25 or more. Then it was 2 times odds.

Usually the table only had myself and one other person playing .

So here is my strategy that worked.

Place 25 on pass and don't pass and cover the 12 with one dollar . then place true odds up to $50. Also placed the come and don't come with odds.

To do this you will need to buy in for $1K and you will have lots of money on the table at times but use your odds to your advantage and with any luck you will walk away with a few buck .But don't get greedy.

The one dollar covering the 12 only hit a few times but that's insurance.

I mostly play craps and definitely prefer Carnival for that. $5 min. and double odds and the ATS bonus bet, free drinks and fare comps.

last Royal I was on was $10 min. and single odds. No bonus. Any roll where both dice didn't hit back wall they'd scream no roll. It was the worst Casino experience ever on a ship. droped 2k and never got a free drink.

As a rookie gambler, I am curious why you recommend choosing a different machine.  Can you explain?

It was more of a joke...

The wheels are nice because everyone can see them spin when you hit a bonus but I have had no luck hitting anything on them. I like playing slots that are tied to a progressive jackpot just in case it hits, usually a bank of 5-10 machines tied to one jackpot.

  4. The organizer usually does good and ends up with free drinks with their card in the machine. We has a couple hundred participate on the Horizon the first sea day and hit nothing big. It took about 3 hours and there was a meet up later at the casino bar if you wanted your $11 back. If you chose not to come it was donated to the St Jude fundraiser they have on most ships. I thought that was a good idea. Also pick a machine near a hallway to easily line up if there is a good turn out. I have done a pull on every cruise that offered one and they all picked wheel machines. My advice, pick another machine, not one has been profitable.

  5. Not that easy, The insurance is through a third party now. I had to cancel a Vista cruise last year and it was a pain.

A couple forms required the medical doctor to fill out and sign along with medical codes of the back surgery my wife had to have from a car wreck. I got the port charges and taxes back right at cancellation but the rest took about 6 weeks.

  6. I can never get because my spouse doesn't drink at all. If you do not get the cheers. Check out the Happy hour deals on certain days at the red frog pub. I'd get a whole pitcher of the special for like $8 with very little ice and put in the minifridge and refill a smaller glass with ice all day 🙂

  7. It depends how cool the pit boss is on table games. On my last  Miracle cruise, on day 2, 4 of us at the craps table got a drink card who also played day 1,  probably only run 500-750 through the table at that point. I tried to get a point total from the Casino host near the end of the cruise and could get no straight answers.

I know my cruise fare deals have about vanished but on board perks have increased. Free chips - Drink Card - Free bottle of wine voucher at dinner- sweets delivered to room.
