  1. If you don't arrive on ship until later in the day (maybe 4pm), do you struggle to get in good dinner reservations for the week? For example, I would like to dine at Candles in St Barts. We're spending the night before at the Westin Dawn Beach and would like to relax at the resort on Saturday.

  2. I know this is a rather subjective question but looking for experienced guests thoughts. We sailed on Wind Star last spring in Cat BX on deck one. We liked the mid-ship location but the stairs (being narrow) were a bit of a pain. Not a deal breaker. On Wind Surf, BX is down even another flight from the main deck. So is it worth the $ to go up to deck 2 (A or AX)? I know everyone's pain threshold is different when it comes to finances! Just trying to weigh the value from past guests experiences to decide. Thanks!

  3. When I search this subject, they seem to be older threads. So wondering, do the men on Caribbean itineraries really wear long pants every night? My husband is a snappy guy :D and he'd never go to dinner slovenly. We stay/eat at some pretty fab places on land down there and never wear long pants. But will, of course, do as the Romans do!

While I have your attention!! Is it hard to get reservations at Candles and do I need to run over LOL's when I get onboard to make reservations?

I lay awake at night mulling over every little exciting detail!!! This board appears to be happy to share experiences & advice, so thank you! You saved me from flying in the day of!! Bless you all for that!

  4. We're in a regular stateroom (BX) on Wind Star. We have rolling duffle bags that lie flat except for one end which sits up about 12" high so not sure if it would fit under the bed. Is there a place to store luggage in the closet or on top of the closet? I don't want to be tripping over them all week so if we need to bring other bags, we will! Thanks!

  5. We land on Barbados at 3:20pm on the day of departure on March 5th on Delta from Atlanta. There was no flight option on Thursday or Friday. All aboard is 5pm and I've read that BGI arrival is pretty smooth so if all goes well, no problem. We do have travel insurance so worst case we catch a flight to St Lucia the next morning. But wondering...should I be nervous?!!!!
