  1. I originally posted this on the RCCL forum and someone suggested I check here.

My husband and I are newly certified divers and are interested in a Cocoa Cay/Nassau cruise on the Mariner this fall.  I thought I had read somewhere that RCCL had age restrictions (no one over 60?) for their dives.  I looked at the website and it doesn't state this for either of these ports.  We are aware that there are limitations for medical reasons, but has anyone ever been denied a dive based on age?

  3. I can't answer your question, but I'm going to follow along. Although we don't claim to be great ballroom dancers, we have studied for a few years and have an upcoming cruise on the Equinox. I'm hoping we have the opportunity to dance. We've sailed mostly on RCCL and have been disappointed in the dance opportunities.

  4. I do this every weekend...with ALL of the ports that are available. I never tire of it. :) I love seeing them at 5 or 6am pulling in, when it is pitch dark out too...beautiful!!

To be honest, champagne123, I like looking at them during the week while at work, too. Love looking at the Caribbean beach cams. Reminds me why going to work every day is worth it!

  5. We usually take around $2000, but always come home with some leftover. That's for two people and includes $200 per day casino allowance. But some will tell you way less and some will tell you more.

We try to consider what we might spend on taxis, extra tips, casino, and anything we may want to purchase on the islands we visit. We try to not use credit cards on the islands since we had our number hijacked from a very reputable shop in St. Thomas. (We know it was there because it was the only place we used it.)

  6. We have found some very good prices on all kinds of alcohol in many of the ports, including Cozumel. But we only buy it if we're driving. If you're flying, remember that you can't carry it on the plane with you. And the additional weight and risk of it breaking in your suitcase may not make it worthwhile.

We were at the airport waiting for our luggage one time and a woman who had returned from a cruise was picking hers up at the next luggage area. Her suitcase arrived dripping rum! She had packed two bottles in it and one of them broke. It smelled good though! :D

  7. I was researching for the same info, so hoping someone will respond. The last time we were there, I remember seeing an outside bar area, but not sure what the name of it was.
