  1. These responses have been excellent and have given me a lot to think about.

I am eternally optimistic, and have read through the Regent Reassurance  details.

I'd feel very confident thinking that a cruise line such as this would fully cancel, if they thought the crew and passengers were not going to be safe. It is a chance to take no matter what. I just came off a Blues Cruise with no issues whatsoever.

We are in excellent health and do not want to defer this trip in May.

  2. We are really looking forward to our very first Regent cruise on the Splendor departing from Barcelona on May 28th!

We received a letter this morning informing us that we have the option of cancelling our cruise and re-booking in 2020-2021.

Boy, this is going to be a hard decision to make!!!!!

  3. We were all booked and awaiting our 3rd Windstar cruise departing from St. Maarten next Tuesday the 26th. As disappointed as we feel, we are lucky we deal with a cruise line that acts proactively.

We have been told we will be reimbursed fully, for all hotels, flights and shore excursions. Boy, am I glad we booked everything through Windstar this time! We are looking forward to our next cruise which is being offered to us free.

We will continue to travel with Windstar!

  4. I'm not exactly sure about the Select Dining option.

Last Celebrity cruise we did, we simple asked for Late Seating and a table with at least 6 guests. We really enjoy dining with others.

Is this option a better choice? Do most guests prefer it this way?

  5. I agree totally with you.

We did not bombard them with questions and issues after the revisions. Later on after things died down, we contacted them to adjust a price increase with our new hotel in Barbados as well as a price reduction with our cruise.

They happily complied with everything. We are really looking forward to the Surf on November 25th!

  6. Thanks to Cruise Critic and the suggestions you all made as I posted questions, I feel much informed in several areas - namely the price drop! We contacted Windstar and spoke to a representative who was very helpful and who, also, adjusted a glitch with our new hotel arrangements from St. Maarten to Barbados.

We mentioned the price drop and he quickly made the adjustments resulting in a significant OBC!

What we are unclear on, are the various suggestions as to what you can or cannot use these credits for???

I'd really love to know exactly (before we cruise) what we can do with them. Lots of different comments on this one!

  7. Sure thing.

We'll watch the website and sales prices and phone WS with our questions. We've been pretty quiet and understanding, in light of the revisions that they been forced to make.

We're hoping there will be some perks offered as well, to make up for the changes, and the fact that several of us are still planning to go, and have not decided to cancel!

  8. So what's the rule on price adjustments? You can get a price adjustment as long as you haven't already paid in full? We are sailing in November so we had to pay in full in August. . .

I have only just started reading about Sales Adjustments, etc. We are doing our 2nd Windstar Cruise this coming November 25th on the Surf and I am now really paying attention to posts. So, we have already paid our full amount (which apparently is required 90 days before the cruise), and I was under the impression that if it dropped in price , we could get an adjustment as long as we contact Windstar up to 7 days prior to sailing. Are you saying we do not qualify for any price adjustment if we paid on full???
