  1. Hello.

My husband and I will be visiting the above ports as a part of a cruise at the end of the month. I am not finding a whole lot of information on these ports on CC. Any information that can be offered would be greatly appreciated...what are the must see things??

    Thanks in advanced!

Hello! We gonna cruise on 4 of the Canary Islands for the holidays and it seems that the nicer places are away from the port soooo :

    1. Stay in Las Palmas or go to Maspalomas and Puerto Mogan ?

    2. Stay in Santa Cruz  ( Tenerife ) or go to Puerto de la Cuz ?

    3. Stay in Santa Cruz  de La Palma or go inland ?

Thank you ! I really appreciate any insight and recommendation 🙂

What ship are you sailing on?

    Thanks.

  3. We booked with Elite Autonoleggi. They were very prompt with their responses to my inquiry and many questions. Booked transfer from airport to Piazzale Roma and then from cruise port to airport on the day of our return. €90 for 2 people including luggage for all. We will be taking the people mover to the cruise port...we have done this before.

    Hope this helps.

  4. Just booked transfers with Elite Autonoleggi. We booked transfers from airport to Piazzale Roma upon arrival to Italy and also from Pier to the airport on the day we disembark the ship. We have booked for 8AM upon disembarkation. I am adding this for anyone who is has questions on transfers. The cost was 45 Euros each way for 2 people. Booking was very easy and response from company was prompt!

My question, however, is where on the pier does RCCL Rhapsody of the Seas dock...does anyone know? We have been on this ship before out of and into this port, and seem to remember it being close to the people mover as we used it last time and are thinking of using it again on embarkation day. Is this still the case?

    Thanks in advance!

  5. We are using Hotel Papdopoli. We stayed there a few years back and had a great experience. It is quite close to the transportation hub in Venice...so we will be using the people mover to get to the cruise port. Got a great price on Hotels.com

  6. The building the White Horse is located in was built in the 1700's. I think the tavern was established in 1930.

Ahhh...I think our White Horse Tavern is the oldest continuously operating tavern in the US and dates back to the 1673.

  7. Flanigans in Hamilton and Tavern on the Wharf in St. George. Also White Horse Tavern St. George. I mention those because none have yet mentioned them. I have had Dark and Stormys at a bunch of places in Bermuda over the years and can't recall a bad one at any venue.

    Thanks.

Funny...we live about 10 minutes from another White Horse Tavern (Newport RI) which is very famous for it's Dark and Stormys. I think our White Horse Tavern is much older than the one in Bermuda.

  8. Thanks all.

Hubby and I are regular drinkers of the Dark and Stormy! We wanted to sample them in Bermuda. Will be in Bermuda 2 weeks from Saturday on Liberty of the Seas. Any recommendations for places close to the Royal Dockyard or in Hamilton?

  9. We are flying in to Quito on 7/17, arriving around 10PM. Is the shuttle service to the hotel the price per person or per car? Do you have a ballpark figure of what the taxi fare should be? Do you know if they accept credit cards, dollars, or only local currency?

    Thanks!

    SMCruiseControl,

Are you on the 7/20 sailing? We are on that sailing, however, we are arriving on 7/18. We arrive in Quito at 6:30PM.

    Safe travels.
