  1. When Carnival pulled their ship out of Baltimore, I thought RCI would move a Celebrity ship in there along with the Grandeur of the Seas. That would have effectively sealed Carnival out of the port and given RCI dominance of the whole mid-Atlantic region with Baltimore and Cape Liberty.

    Alas, RCI flubbed their opportunity.

Classy Celebrity would do well in Baltimore drawing from all the rich folks in DC and Philly.

  2. Grand Central Terminal, Bryant Park, and Times Square all are within a very short walk of each other along 42nd Street. All 3 well worth visiting.

Grand Central is famous of course and the huge main concourse is a sight to see. Many subway lines stop at Grand Central so if you take the subway there's a good chance you can easily stop here.

Bryant Park may be the best park in the nation. It's not huge like Central Park. It's only one block (and the block includes the spectacular central library with the famous stone lions out front too). But the park has a couple of places to grab lunch, lots of seats for a rest, and unique things like outdoor ping pong and petanque.

Times Square is really crazy at night. All the lights and thousands of people. It's a fun experience. It is also right there by many of the Broadway theaters so why not see it on your way to a show?

  3. We're planning to cruise to Bermuda during the America's Cup in 2017, and found some good stuff. Here's the official Bermuda site, with event schedule and more. It's cool that there will be racing throughout June, so lots of cruisers will get to enjoy qualifying races.

Here are a couple of cruises that will be in Bermuda during the final match races:
