We have a group of 12 going out of Charleston this Sat, about half are 100% disability. My question is, almost all of us got a different check in time. I got an early check in (which I like) but my sister (disabled) got a late check in. We are together, along with out spouses, will she be able to board with me due to her disability? We will be using Carnivals, wheelchair assist?
If this isn't possible and her check in time is 1:30 to 2:00 will it benefit her to being at the port early? Any chance to be let on earlier?
If this doesn't work I'll just wait for her time but I am hoping. We are driving in 3.5 hours and want to caravan for safety reasons.
Thanks for any help!

Thank you both!

Do non alcoholic smoothies, coffe and non alcoholic daiquiris count towards the 15 limit?
Thanks

There are only two of us but in Jan we have a big group going and if they have JiJi's we might be able to get everyone to go.
So with the two of us if we want to try more than one appetizer or say we both ordered and entree but we'd like to try/share a different one is that acceptable?

Is it served family style? Do you get to order different appetizers or a couple of different meals or appetizers to try?

We did this one and yes it was exhausting but fun. Best excursion/port in all of cruising has been St. Lucia on the Carnival Catamaran and tour. I forget what it's called but it was amazing.

Thanks! We are on her in 3 weeks. Glad you had a great time. I didn't know they had a Guys.

Yes it's "real" tea time not a kids party or entertainment. Your kids will be bored and "playing tea time" I don't think that's what it's meant for but wouldn't ruin my time if you tried.

Had a full sheet (plastic) type of door decoration awhile back. On the last night someone knocked on our door and it was group of ladies who said "we just wanted to see whose this room was because we love your door". We said thanks but I was just about to take it down she said "can I have it?" I said sure so i pulled it down and she draped it across her back and taped it at the neck and off she went with her friends with our door decoration flowing behind her like batman's cape...lol..it was a pic of a pirate sitting on the john "ye old poop deck" written above him...I will never forget that sight.

The benefit is for owner occupied rooms and is non-transferrable.
These ARE owner occupied rooms! We don't transfer, my sister stays in hers and I stay in mine, we both have other halves.

Yes and we are not abusing it. My sister and I share an account with 100 shares, we both got the credit on our up coming cruise. It's NOT cheating the system because you have to have TWO rooms. There is no difference than me going on one cruise and her going later on another. If we tried and we were in the same room that would be cheating and wouldn't work and yes we used the same statment as verification.

Trying to find out if I've purchased water already and I can't tell. Any ideas? Thanks

Yes, I read reviews. And unfortunately I read many reviews that are filled with ignorance and flat out intolerance for other cultures.
I wholeheartedly disagree with your comments about placing a "nasty ship" where the "nasty people" are. As you may (or may not) know, Carnival may have the Fascination in San Juan, but more premium cruise lines like Celebrity and Disney, as well as true luxury cruise lines like Windstar have ships sailing from San Juan. I doubt that they decided to base their ships there to cater to the "nasty" people.
Which brings me to pricing which is a bigger indicator of what clientele a particular sailing will attract. You price a sailing cheap enough and you will most likely attract a few undesirables who unfortunately are not familiar with the basic concepts of human behavior. This is not a San Juan phenomenon but a phenomenon that you will see at any port of embarkation regardless of whether it's aboard the Fascination or another ship.
Your last comment about placing a newer ship where a classier and more mature crowd sails from is a bit comical. Once again, the ship does not make the crowd. Marketing and pricing does.
Well this is to disagree with you Tapi, I am not intolerant nor ignorant. I am typically a very laid back, go with the flow, person and so are my travel mates and I can tell you the people on our PR cruse (dream destination BTW) were rude and obnoxious. They pushed through, they blocked the hallways 3 in a row and you'd have to try to push against a wall single file to get passed. The people in PR tried to rip us off more than once. The people in the shows wouldn't stop yelling so anyone around them to could hear the music. The PRs in club started a protest when the music was switched, after latin music had been being played, to pop. We all said we had absolutely no desire to go back there.

Thanks Gram I will check it out.
One thing I am a bit disappointed over is after reading through a bunch of the excursion reviews, it seems as if AC is basically one large time share. I notice in most of the excursions people are commenting that they are being approached by people trying to get them to listen to sales pitches to buy into the island. Even those that are buying the higher end private excursions are getting hit up by time share people, sometimes several of them.
I'm sorry but if I spent $400+ on an excursion for us to go on, the absolute last thing I want is to be approached by even a single salesman trying fast talk me into anything. I don't care if they go away when I say no. I should never be approached in the first place when I'm on a paid excursion. I was going to an all inclusive at one of the hotels for us but after finding out we'd be getting hit up while we are there we'll just stick to the port and go back on the ship if we get approach more than once. I won't spend my day fending off sales pitches.
I figured there was a catch when I saw how nice they were building up the port area with free water slides, pool, cheap zipline etc. There's always a catch lol
I'm not positive but I don't think the timeshare people are allowed in the cruise port area. I think that is just the excursions at hotels.

I don't drink (really) but I know someone who buys more than they can drink from the gift shops, then smuggles just to see if he can, yes he's crazy. He uses these.

A friend of mine used Marysol Tours and recommended them, and I've seen reviews for them on other travel websites as well.
Thank you it looks promising!

You can always book military now and switch to ES later when the cruise is closer and there's less risk so grab the last minute price drops. ES usually goes away a couple weeks before final payment is due. Then sometimes another version of it will pop up closer to final payment time but not always, depends on how well the ship is sailing, it may go away sooner than that.
Thank you!

I need help because I can't seem to find a simple sightseeing tour for 12 people. We have elderly with us and some mobility issues but can walk to the bus. What we are looking for is a simple riding sightseeing tour for about half a day. Any ideas? Thoughts? Thanks

I loved the crab cake.
I just hope all our food is hot, well at least very warm this time. Had a issue with that last time.

I felt really bad about this but I got some things on my plate from the dessert buffet and thought I'd really love it (I'm not picky) and the taste of it was terrible. It was either a chocolate type of cake or cheesecake. I find their desserts look beautiful but often tastes terrible or low quality. I don't need high quality, give me Hershey's but that was way below that.
I really love the egg plant options on the buffet. Yum

Thank you all. Sounds like military rate is the best way to go for us.

Are you allowed any substitutions like extra side in place of dessert? Perhaps one can order several sides? I know at the steakhouse if you don't order a salad you can get an extra appetizer. Anyone know about JiJi's?[/quote
Yes, you can order whatever you'd like. Ate at JiJi's on the Sunshine last month.
Thank you!

Which is the best?
