We visited Bermuda last year from the UK. We didn't have any jabs. It is a beautiful island.

Enjoy your trip to Alaska!
My husband an I were on the 29/7 sailing from Southampton, in a BE category cabin, We accepted the move over earlier today, and are now booked on an Alaskan cruise in a mini suite. We are over the moon! -
We docked at Cagliari so can't help you on this one.

Which port are you docking at in Sardinia, Cagliari? If so lovely beach 20 mins away. Will give more details if this is the port you are at?

The beach is a narrow sandy beach about 15 min stroll from the port. The sea is clear and warm.

We walked to the beach. About a 15 minute stroll from the ship. The sea was glorious.

When you switch off wifi and mobile data an I phone will send text messages as sms. The first time it tries it may say message failed to send as it is following on from previous messages and trying to send it as a blue I message. If this happens double click on the message as it is trying to send and one of the options is send as text message. The phone will then automatically send green text messages until you turn mobile data or wifi back on.

Which ports are you visiting?

Radiance class are fantastic ships. Full of natural light and places to sit inside overlooking the sea. We also loved Park cafe and the outdoor eating area at Windjammer. The shopping area was compact and the MDR had more tables packed in than on Freedom class. But other than that, I can't find any downsides.

Forgot to say we tipped all the tour guides in dollars which they were grateful for!

We did a very similar cruise on Brilliance last summer. Our first day in Russia we visited the Hermitage. They accepted dollars and euros in the gift shop. It was reasonably price too.
Our second day we did some shopping in Nevsky Prospekt. We went into a bakery and they only accepted roubles - no problem though they also accepted debit/credit cards so that was fine.
We also visited a large gift shop here - same again roubles only so paid by card. The gift shop where all the coaches and buses drop you just around the corner accepts dollars and euros and also has toilets (handy to know!)
Finally there was a very large selection of gifts in the port itself dolls, hats etc all the traditional stuff. They accepted euros and I think dollars too!
So we managed with no roubles but seemed to spend a small fortune anyway.
Enjoy this trip - some fantastic ports of call.
DocHQ test beforehand - anyone used?
