  1. Talk to the Bobby at the Bellhop desk, he will help you with anything you need.

Below is a service that drove us to a Everglades tour and on the way back he dropped us off at the Sawgrass Mall. Give him a call, he could also help you or direct you to someone who could get you to where you would like to go.

We also used the taxis that were there to take us to the Galleria Mall, which has Publix and tons of restaurants as well

  2. It hasn't been just the past few weekends, it has been this way all summer. This is quite normal for the summer time at Port Everglades. In just a few weeks when all the European deployed ships return for the winter season the number of ships each day will increase dramatically. During the summer the bulk of the cruise ships are in Europe and Alaska.

You are totally right, in the next few weeks the port will be packed again, I know Allure of the seas will be back in a few weeks from Europe. By November there will be a ton of ships to watch leave port:)

  3. From what I have read, the app is awesome $5.00 per cruise. It has everything that is going on at your finger tips. Also if you can review your sail and sign account, chat with other people in your party that also has the app and signed up. I am so excited that this is coming as I have read that the Sunshine does not have interactive TV's! :)

  4. We have sailed out of this port twice, tons of options to get there as SadieN wrote. We always searched out a shuttle service and booked it in advance. We never had any problems getting to the port. As for hotels, the first stay was a few blocks away from the downtown core and was kind of sketchy. The second time we stayed at the Residence Inn Long Beach Downtown, and it was great. The closer to downtown Long Beach the better, the inner harbor alway has tons to see and do.

  5. Sure, about a year ago Carnival began testing a new menu for their ships. It is called American Table and American Feast (on cruise elegant nights). There are different things they tested, like not using table cloths (just nice wood tables), different food items, some tied to the local port, new items etc. it has been refined and is now slowly being rolled out to the fleet. I think (although not sure) that the Sunshine is getting it this fall. If I am incorrect I am sure someone will correct me. Mainly small changes, nothing to worry about.

Thank you that was very helpful.

  6. The Sunshine still has the old menu. Our last cruise in April when we were on the Breeze, they had the new menu's and service. I do have to say it was interesting going back to the old menu. After dinner we went and hung out at Oceans Plaza. We got our first glimpse of of In Crowd, the band that played there. We listened to their set and when they took a break, we moved on. We stopped in the RFP for a nightcap and listened to Michael playing the guitar and singing, then we headed back up to the room.

I am loving the review only 217 days till we cruise, not like I'm counting!!!!

I am wonder if someone could explain the difference between the old and new menus? I see some posts on American table is this the new menu? Any idea when the Sunshine will get the new menu?

    Thank you in advance.

    Rick
