1. I'm in 7121. Very little soot or vibration. The balcony is deeper and only part of it is covered so your chairs have to be by the windows to stay dry. You can see into your neighbor if you look around the screen. But you can do that on any balcony. No one can see down in from above and there is a rain gutter that will catch your camera if you drop it.

  2. Are the deck six balconies considerably larger than deck seven? We are currently booked in 7121 for two legs of our b-to-b-to-b on 2017

I booked it for Sept 2016. As we will be in port most of the time and only sailing late nights and early in the morning I figured the motion shouldn't be bad. I hope there isn't much engine vibration while sleeping? But I think the lack of wind, deeper balcony and great views should be a big plus. I loved the outside cafe, now it is gone I will have to be anti social and sit on my own balcony in the evening.

The double upgrade was a great deal, the same price as an inside room.

  3. I love Asian food but I still think closing the outside cafe in the evenings is a huge mistake. I really enjoy sitting out there and enjoying the views with dinner.

I'm f they combined the steak and Italian restaurant they could keep the pay restaurants together and add the Asian fusion restaurant up there.

I like the inclusive feel of Azamara and wouldn't appreciate the rise in pay for services as many of the other cruise companies seem to be doing right now.

I agree art auctions are a waste of space and time I never have purchased anything from them.

  4. I'm so glad to hear the outside cafe will still be open until 5pm. That is my favorite place to eat daytime. Is there a fee for the new Asian restaurant? If there is why not combine the Italian and steakhouse restaurants and move the Asian restaurant in one of those.

Will they change the main staircase? The plastic sides with paint looks so cheap.

Lastly the new bathrooms I heard will have heavier curtains to try and stop them sticking to you. My friend told me she keeps the curtain open and uses the whole bathroom as a wet room. That would be less claustrophobic.

Any new ships on the horizon? If so please don't go bigger like Seaborn. I like love the smaller ships with great parking in port and making so many new friends. So much easier on a small ship.

  5. How fast is the wifi? Most ships are painfully slow. But I heard the new RCL is 4G speed. I have been on some ships and just gave up and used a mifi when we got close to shore. I ended up with several other passengers using my mifi I rented for the trip.

  6. I would like to see what cabins are available so I can choose one to book. Celebrity's site is hard to find what is available. I know it changes, but that is fine if Im looking for an upgrade after i book.

Anyone got a site for floor by floor diagrams?

  7.
Hi UnitedFlyier - yes! New stateroom accommodations are a key aspect of any new design that may be considered in the future, with a priority on enhancing the bathroom spaces.
Thank you for the reply. I look forward to any new ship pictures and information in the future. I'm looking forward to my B2B cruises April 22nd and 30th on the Quest.

New ships would be great with a decent size bathroom and a real shower with no curtain cling. Your cabins no matter how nicely furnished as always going to be small. I don't spend much time in my cabin except to sleep, but most women will tell you the bathroom is important.

However the smaller ship concept with fewer guests is a good difference. It is great you can get into ports larger ships can't. I hope any new ships don't grow too much so you can keep the personal touch.
  9. Our banks just call our designated 'phone number - does not have to be a smartphone. It is all automated and efficient. However, we avoid using ATMs overseas if at all possible. I feel that you are vulnerable using them in obvious tourist areas like ports.

Now that is why we stick with the same banks as they have decades of data about our spending patterns and their fraud detection algorithms are now exteremly sophisticated.

When you travel as much as I do having a US cell phone that will work in every country is very expensive. I do not use one because of the risk of theft. It can easily cost you thousands if they clone it or just rob you. I only use very cheap disposable pre paid phones. When I lose them or they are stolen I have only lost $50 max including the minute credit. But the US bank don't understand foreign travel. They are terrible a foreign currencies and will not accept skype numbers because of fraud. This makes it very difficult for me to do online banking in the US or UK where I live. Many countries you must use cash unless you want your credit card to get cloned. Hotel employees will steal your details.

I simply cannot keep up with informing my bank of every country I will visit on on what days. They cannot keep up with me.

Shame the scam artists have made it so difficult for everyone else.

  10. I have had an increasing problems with banks and security. I guess too many cards get stolen and counterfeited. Trying to withdraw cash from foreign ATMs can trigger it to be stopped. Payments now have to be verified by use of a smart phone you can verify payments with a text message. OK if you have a smart phone that works overseas.

My friend got a call from Amex asking her about possible fraudulent activity on her account. It was used in a local grocery store! I guess that was a first for her she only eats out in expensive restaurants LOL

I have an Amex card but lots of places do not take them. Even safes in your room can be opened it you know how. So your cards are never really safe at all.

I have had friends kidnapped in Europe for not paying thousands for a soda in a mafia owned bar. They wanted cash only to release them.

We nearly got thrown in jail when our minvan was stopped by plain clothes cops in Argentina. I have no idea why but the Spanish speaking girls in the van were screaming at them and refused to get out, they managed to get us released but the driver disappeared for a few days. I was pretty scared not understanding a word of what was going on.

I think you just have to be careful and aware of what could happen and alway tell someone else where you are and know who to contact incase you need to get bailed out somewhere.

You always need to have enough cash you can get in a hurry to get yourself out of a bad situation and worry about the right and wrongs of it later.
