The Ruby was docked next to the Crown, which I was on, in Victoria, Canada on October 15.
It arrived after us and left before our ship left. Large crates were being replaced on the top deck, but that was all that was happening.
-
Got off the Crown last week after 16 days--Caribe deck--mattress was super comfortable and seemed new. Maybe they are in the process of replacing them.

On the Crown it's in between the coffee/ice cream bar and Slice pizza on Lido deck.
Seems to take at least 7-10 minutes to make a juice, as of last week.

I am confused as to whether a negative covid test is required for a 16 day trip to Hawaii.
Princess says travelers on certain 16 day or longer trips must show a negative covid test before boarding, but isn't specific as to what destinations.
If anyone has experience going to Hawaii in 2023, or if you have any answers, I would appreciate your help. I just don't trust contacting Princess for the correct information.
Thank you.

There is no way to predict the weather a year in advance.
Example of one of my trans from Southampton to FLL. 16 days which we were only able to dock in Lisbon to pick up more crew and Bermuda. We barley got into Bermuda do to winds.
There was a huge storm and we docked in Southampton for 3 days. Couldn't get through the English Channel. Missed Paris.
It is just a chance you have to take. We were kept busy on the ship. The only food which they ran out of was lettuce. They put cabbage out in its place. Too funny.
Something Princess didn't have to do was give us a complete refund. They had nothing to do with the weather, but a great move to its passengers.

My next cruise in September is the first one I booked as a guarantee.
I'm wondering how to print my luggage tags if I don't receive my cabin until 2 days before sailing. Since I will be on the road, I will be hoping I can print them at a hotel.
Is that what most of you do?

Thanks for responding.
Not lazy, just thinking if I brought my coffee up from the IC, it would be cold by the time I went through the buffet line and had an omlet made.
That's the reason I was asking if a crew member can deliver.

Just wondering how this works...
I'll be on the Crown with the plus package.
At the breakfast buffet, if I want the regular coffee from the IC, not the syrup coffee from the buffet, can a crew member get this for me or do I bring it from the IC myself?

Haven't been a sailing since the Mediallion app has been introduced.
I'm a solo traveler and have no preference to sit alone or with a group.
Can I just arrive at the dining room without a reservation and wait for an opening? Or must I reserve on the app?

Don't forget to bring your CDC card with you when getting your 2nd boost.
I walked right into Rite Aid with no appointment and received mine. She did check when my 1st boost was received. It was just past 6 months, but she said 4 months is ok.

And the cards are sent on to the people mentioned. Often crew will put them on display in their cabins.
If the card is sent in early enough, the recipient may have it before the end of the cruise and may thank you for submitting it.
Yes, so true. I did a complement card about Matt O.
The CD talked to him and gave him the card.
He thanked me at the next event where I saw him. He said it means so much to each crew member when complemented personally by their superiors.

Have Dog.....
Did you receive your Mediallion in the mail.
If you did, how many days prior to July 25.
I can't wait to hear "welcome aboard" again!
Thank you

Just wondering if anyone has info about the blue bags. Will they still be around.

Thanks for answering so quickly. At least now I know which end is up, I think.
I'm going to wait a few more day to download. Need to work on getting a positive attitude with this.

Today's Medallion update for my Android 11:
1 Last cancelled cruise fell off the list
2 All my Personalizer information was transferred to the app (passport, emergency contact, etc.) Only problem I still have is that I can't update emergency contact telephone number -- went into edit and provided information but would not recognize it. Will probably have to call Princess to manually do this --- unless someone knows what to do otherwise.
3 Was able to put in my PIN
4 As for payment, this information was provided when I put I did my pre-cruise documents on my desktop. For some reason, this information did not transfer over to the app. I am a little apprehensive about putting the CC information on the app because I don't know if it is safe to do so --- on my desktop, I have a security feature.
5 My husband is traveling with me and I was easily able to toggle back and forth between his and my requested information.
Final note, when checking and providing information for the app, I had to make sure to scroll down to the bottom of my phone page to ensure I could engage the save or next button. In my haste I forgot to do this and was frustrating myself thinking the input should have saved and wasn't sure why it wasn't --- now I know why --- duh!
Happy Father's Day to all.
Are you able to check your settings are see what version of the MC you are working with.
I have an Android 11 and when I down load the new version, I just want to confirm it's the correct one.
Thanks

Yes, you must download the MedallionClass app.
I left my app on my iPhone from my December 2019 cruise. No need for it now. My information in my cruise personalizer showed up on its own in the app over a weeks time.I just don't know how I can download the app when it keeps saying can't download to this phone.
My phone is un updated model s20, so I just can't figure what to do.

My cruise is not until 3/23 and it allowed me to input all information.

I am so confused.
I have the Mediallion application on my phone from my last cruise which I disembarked 3/14/19, the last day of crusing before shutdown.
I have been able to input all my information, including seeing my passport scanned, my cc information accepted, emergency contact ok, ordered Mediallion.
What I'm not sure about is do I still have to download an updated version of the Mediallion and input all information again.
I have a Samsung 20 and when I tried to download the new Mediallion app it tells me won't work on this phone.
Geez, what a hassle. I liked it better when all I had to worry about is what cruise to take.
Can anyone let me know if I'm set, or still need to download the new app.
Thanks fellow cruisers.

My EightFurryPaws are so excited to see me when I arrive home from cruising, and I am so excited to see them.

I only cruise Princess. Disembarked from the Sky on March 14, so very happy I was able to get that trip completed before life changed.
One day in port I shared a bench with a HAL crew member. He told me they refer to HAL ships as floating nursing homes, so I think I'll stay with Princess if crusing ever resumes.

Very heartwarming. Just makes me realize how much I miss the entire cruising experience and can't wait to board again.

I was on the beautiful Sky in the Caribbean for 14 days ending March 14. Jan Schwartz announced all passengers would be disembarking on that day.
I feel fortunate that I was able to enjoy my 14 days before cruising ended for now. The ship stopped in the Dominican Republic two days before we were to disembark in FLL to pick up test kits. 100 crew were randomly tested and by the time we got to FLL all was clear and we disembarked on time.
As soon as it was announced the ship would not be sailing in the near future, the shops discounted all the Sky princess clothing and items 75%, so I have many great items for memories,

Thank you for posting. It just made me yearn to be on a ship again.
I was on the Sky cruise where all had to disembark on March 14.
During that cruise we had ships following us throughout the Caribbean.
The Captain always had fun showing up the other ships with their boring
horns, and then our awesome Sky song.

This doesn't have anything to do with table games but last week on the Crown a lady was playing a slot with $8.80 as the top wager. Just about everyone in the placed stopped when they announced a jackpot of $187,000 was just won.
Sure enough it was flashing on the machine, the winner was shaking filling out paperwork and they rest of us were staring with our mouths hanging open.
