One more question.  After you book with a CVP by celebrity and then you were to transfer to a travel agent for extra onboard credit, does this take away credits the CVP gets from helping you with the initial booking.

I have never lost any perks due to transferring a booking.

We are about to book our first Celebrity cruise, and we were wondering if the Classic drink package includes everything in the Zero Proof Package, except for smoothies as per the Celerity web site.

The compare package page is kind of useless. We were thinking about booking one last year, and it specifically made a difference between the Classic and Premium when it came to bottled water, energy drinks, and fresh OJ. Are they still excluded from the Classic package?

Does anyone have examples of current drink cost? Coffee at the cafe, Beers, or mixed drinks?

We have not sailed Celebrity for 7 years.

We have AT&T for our cell service.  We purchase the WiFi pkg….put our phones on airplane mode (very important!!)…..turn on WiFi calling and then we can use our phone for text and calling just as we would at home..

We have AT&T as well. As the post states we have had no issues on Celebrity or RCL using our I phone as described. You will notice a delay when doing a voice or Face time call. Have fun

    Hello,

We are booked on Harmony in Aug and its our 1st cruise since Covid and we have never been to the NEW Coco Cay and only to the original.

Is there anything Free to do there now such as beach, pool etc? I was looking at the prices for things to do and they seem outrageous in my opinion so if nothing is free than I doubt we will even get off there. DO they still have shops to buy things?

    Thanks

All most everything related to beach and pool activities.

They really need to make a Sticky on some of the important questions that are asked daily on the cruise threads. But, then again, how many read the Sticky’s. LOL As mentioned, the only acceptable proctored tests can only be ordered online from Optum or Emed. You can’t buy them at any drugstore, Sam’s Club, or any other place, at this time.

In my community they are giving away FREE the proctored Bionex test (proctored by EMED). I have four of them picked up free at the Library.

Your information is very useful, but Abbott does make two versions of the BinaxNow for home use.  And that can be confusing.

There is the version sold at Optum and emed.  It includes a proctor, and it is accepted by RCI:

    https://store.optum.com/shop/products/abbott-binaxNOW-COVID-19-ag-at-home-test-kit-3-pack/

There is another version that is sold at CVS, it is not proctored, and unless you can arrange for a medical professional to properly administer and document, it is not accepted by RCI:

    https://www.cvs.com/shop/abbott-binaxnow-covid-19-antigen-self-test-2-tests-for-serial-testing-prodid-550147

The correct version must include the wording "Ag Card" on the box.

MY intent was to point out one proctored version. Sorry for the wording. RCL is selling the same version being given out in my community free. Regardless of were you get it. The test is the same proctored version from Abbott.

I am cruising in January so I’m starting to read about what kind of testing we might need. The CVS near me sells Binax now.  Does anyone know if I can buy the test there and use an app to have someone certify the results or do I need to buy directly from emed?  TIA!

If your test is proctored (witnessed and coached through E Medicne) and test results reported to you by e mail it will be accepted. So make sure your test has this include. The test RCL is selling is the same test available in many areas of the USA. My Employer, and even then Library in my community is giving the SAME BIONX Now test away free. Again!! For the testing to be valid. It MUST be  E-medicine proctor included. I know some here will debate the need to purchase the ABBOTT from RCL. However ABBOTT only makes one BinaxNOW™ COVID-19 Ag test for home use, and is packaged with versions that have the Emed option that allow for you to use in such situations as required.

    Read for your self

    https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/is-there-a-telemedicine-option-for-pre-cruise-covid-19-test

Telehealth self-tests taken at home must meet these requirements:

    • Per U.S. CDC guidance, only vaccinated guests may present self-administered telehealth COVID-19 test results at the terminal to satisfy the pre-cruise testing requirement.
    • The test must have Emergency Use Authorization from the U.S. FDA.
    • The self-test process must happen under live supervision on a video call with a telehealth representative.
    • The telehealth provider must issue you a result document that includes all the necessary information.

You responded to my statement that “there is no national database” with a link to the CDC IIS website, as if to rebut my statement, and infer that there is a national database.

    There is not.

Potato Potato. Vaccine Registry Vaccine Data base. Really? It DOES NOT change the original point on how PCP or a patient can get the information. I know exactly what I linked and I did read the intent and purpose of its  creation. This is my last response. If your this dense to not get the point or help folks understand whats out in the world. You never will.

I have been practicing medicine for over 30 years and am very familiar with how this works, you have a poor understanding.

If you look in the FAQ of the website you posted you will see the quote "CDC does not have immunization record information. You must contact your provider, or local or state immunization program."

    https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/programs/iis/resources-refs/faq.html

Also, any individual has the option to "opt out" of state vaccine databases, so it is impossible to have a complete data set of any kind, when there is less than 100% participation (my office processes opt out paperwork every week for people not wanting to be included)

Also here are links from multiple other sites that state the same thing, there is NOT a national vaccine database, I have included sources from multiple types of sites so as to provide a non biased view of the exact same information.

None of this changes my point, and I never said the CDC "keeps" the info. I stated there is a system in place that helps people and the Medical community access the information. I explained how some folks can access it (not exclusively get to it)The information is useful for those that do not know about it in my OP. As far as OPT out. People that know about yes its nice, or the provider educates them fine what ever. All the providers in my area use it " as stated earlier" and my PCP even seen my dates of vaccination. CVS even added my Shingles vaccine to the system. It looks like Ohio is on top of things again.

That doesn’t say anything about a national database. It says that providers must follow CDC guidelines, report dosage information to CDC for their stats, and keep their personal medical records up to date (nothing about reporting that back to CDC).

After 2012 the immunization data \ Information system was started. On the right hand side of the page click on Requirements and resources, Then click on reporting Requirements, And everything with an * beside it is mandatory reporting. Your personal info includes Name ID, birth date, and sex.

Works if your vaccine provider uses the system.  It’s a private company available to doctors in the US. I wouldn’t call it a national registry.

    https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/programs/iis/index.html

EPIC is connected to the system reference above. As is most larger PCP practices (at least in central Ohio) . I did not call EPIC a registry but a .method to retrieve records from the national system ( linked above).

  12. There is a national Vaccine data base that your PCP can use. If you have a "My Charts' account through any Hospital or Doctor that is connected to EPICs. (EPIC is a system that allows communication amoung ALL connected Hospitals and providers) You can log in and find the Vaccine section. From here you can click up load and your COVID record will be up load into My charts from the data base mentioned above. Been here done that!
