My brother just got one of these... Its legit. I didn't (guess it's because I just got off a cruise a week ago lol). It's been since 2012 since he sailed. He's planning to take our mother, and trying to price it for a third person (though online it isn't letting us do it. He'll have to call them tomorrow. He's stoked!

Can anyone tell me/show me a price list if you have carnival do your laundry? Found out the fiance didn't have enough pants/shirts for a 10 day vacation (and he doesn't like re wearing clothes before their cleaned)

Yes, i know. they have a self serve washer and dryers, but i kinda don't want to spend my vacation doing laundry.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a waterproof bag I could strap to my waist while snorkeling, or in the water for any length of time? I dont really want to leave my valuables exposed while I am swimming on my excursions. I dont want anything super large, but something that can hold money, passport, a camera, and two medical devices (Inhaler and epipen), and keep them all dry.

Does anyone have pictures of a hump balcony? The kind that only have one neighbor? I suppose i could wait 23 more days to see what kind of a view I'll have when I look to my " non neighbor" side.... But I'm impatient and very curious. If its carnival legend's room 6283, even better :)

I called Carnival, and they said the tour operator canceled the excursion. See i saw many post on trip advisor, saying things continaually breaking down. Anyone hear about this?

Well... I did have an excursion for xrails booked through the cruise line... and for whatever reason, they canceled it and dropped that particular excursion. My fiance is really wanting to do that one (I havent told him its been canceled yet.) ANYHOW.... I am looking for a reputable company to go through privately to rebook the xrails. Any suggestions?

If you had done xrails already, what did you think?

There is some swimming, but its not a lot. As the previous poster pointed out, they do provide life vests, helmets, wetsuits, and water shoes. It was a total blast. I think there was no more then 5 minutes of swimming where you couldnt touch the bottom. But I am 5'. The life vest holds you up no problem, not hard on you, or making you really work out on trying to keep yourself afloat. Kinda like how you would float if you had one of the swim noodles u shaped under your arms, and how it holds you up, and how you lazily paddle. Thats how. However, there is a lot of walking in knee-waist high water. But i think i remember them saying it depends on the season. Totally awesome and memorable excursion though. The pictures are awesome... The one funny thing i remember was how lax they are in mexico. At the end of the excursion, they offered everyone a shot of this honey licorice liquor. They asked if everyone was 18. When the parents of two boys in our party said the kids were underage, the guide asked, if it was okay for them to have it anyhow. The parents looked at each other like, what?But allowed the kids to share one shot. I would guess them to early to mid teens though. Made me chuckle.

I did that one about two years ago! Just amazing, totally loved it and wouldnt mind doing it again some day!

Just out of curiousity, any suggestions on a group/website to book through if I chose to seek other sources to book the x-rails?

Yea... that one may work for him... I would be so sick by the time we got off of it though lol. I get sea sick on choppy boat rides.

Well the fiance was super keen on the xrails... We had orginally booked the dune buggies, but canceled when he saw how muddy we would get. He's such a big kid at times. so kinda think something manly lol? Not looking for a beach day too much, as we plan to hit a beaches in several ports. But if its a part of something thats a blast, then we will consider it.

Anyone have suggestions for a Cozumel excursion?

*sighs* I dont know why customer service just cant tell us up front, or feel the need lie to us. So... OVER an hour after I called carnival about the missing excursion, I get the email saying oh we canceled your shore excursion... NO reason why, and thats fine. I will discover that later... but she didnt need to tell me that they never got payment for it, or that it was never booked. *shakes head* So messed up... but it wont be my last carnival cruise because of this one hiccup. I look forward to many more (especially if the fiance enjoys them as much as I.) Its his first. But he will have to pick out another excursion. Wonder why the cancellation on the Xrails... in fact its not listed as a possible excursion when you look at all port under the "Explore Shore Excursions" option.

So... Looking at my carnival booking via the website, and I sail next month. Looked over the excursions, and one of them is missing... the one I booked back in August for this trip... Interesting. Checked my email, no notice. Checked my bank account, no refund. OKay.... Called Carnival... and they say they have no records of it ever being booked! Problem is, I printed my cruise documents about 2 weeks ago... it was there then. So the rep told me to call shore excursions tomorrow. So fustrated! It was the one thing my fiance really wanted to do on the whole trip! It was the xrails in Cozumel Mexico, if that helps any. She said she even checked what I have paid out, and do not have anything for the amount I spent... umm my bank says they took the money 8/21/2013. So she suggests that I call my bank to see if there is a refund on the way... guess what... NO there isnt! So mad right now...:mad:

I feel your pain purplesaurus... I didn't change jobs, the company I work for was sold.... They cashed out my pto, and changed the amount pto i earn per paycheck, so won't have enough for a normal paycheck when I get back. :(.Id been saving it up for 6 months to go on a7 day cruise. Only plus...at least i could put the money aside so when it happens, I kinda have it. And hopefully enough to pay my benefits.

In January, I'm taking my fiance for his first cruise ever. Everything is done, and except to hurry up and wait. Now, while his Christmas gifts are what he asked for, I wanted to do his Christmas stocking, cruise themed. Any suggestions? We are going to grand Cayman, Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Honduras.

The only thing I have at the moment is a small Tortuga rum cake, the kind they sell onboard. Anyother items I could stuff in his stocking?

I'm not sure the rates, but i accidentally turned airplane mode off on my last cruise. I was bombarded with 3 texts 4 emails, and one Voicemail before i was able to turn it off 1 minute later. That 1 minute cost me an extra $25 :( this was on ship and not in any port

I'd suggest you check how much time is allowed for Ensenada.

The original poster had stated they were there from 9 am to 8 pm, more them enough time to do an excursion or two

Typically if they aren't listing a person's name, its because they either don't know, or the family hasn't been notified. Once the family is notified (in any incident), then the media will release the name. Its so people don't find out via the news

Im haiving the same issue with Costa Maya excursions for my January cruise. They recently announced a change from Belize to Costa Maya due to port congestion... it still doesnt list the shore excursions for Costa Maya when I goto book them. I can look at them if I route around, but cant book them. Called Carnival, they said check back in a month lol
