All paid for Emerald for 15 nights leaving from San Pedro on 12/20/20 to FLL and then 10 days on Sky on 1/5/21 to the southern

    Caribbean!

We are on the same cruise and have paid the final and am fighting with Carnival at this time to get my discount

on Carnival Stock (it has to be worth something to them at least - I bought it rot the future)

we have a forum   20 December 2020 - Full Panama Canal Transit - LA to Fort Lauderdale     that I have not seen you on but the cancellations outnumber the sailings

Posted on this site Sept 27, 2018 if you look back.

We are now creating a real problem where some will go to one meeting and some will go to another because people dp not read previous info.

Bar will be open, and I have informed her that we have approx 29 att that could rise to 45 and if we are to exceed that we must contact her for more space.

    ALSO

She says that at this time there is nothing that has been brought to her attention for the Port Juan Del Sur, Honduras of being closed to Princess, or any intention at this time of cancelling tours. (However they could have decided to change or stop using a certain shore excursions company and that would not be public knowledge for legal reasons.)

  4. How does RC determine how much each person's travel insurance costs? I always thought it depended on the total cost of the cruise. Mine, my husbands and my daughter's are all different amounts for our 7-day cruise on the Liberty. It seems to be more expensive the older you are.

    DH--$89

    Me--$59

    DD--$29

Let me show you a fact that will literally save you hundreds or thousands of dollars a year now. Number one is the fact that most if not all give you credit Not Refunds. amd some like Oats, Grand Circle, etc the refund is only good for one year and then falls in half. Here is info you need. I am not an insurance agent or travel agent, but I am 71 years wise. When the cheapest Life insurance company and their executives were purchased several years ago they brought with them the way to provide cheaper

premiums for individuals with better investments instead of high premiums. Now companies such as Allianz Travel Insurance ,

have annual policies that cost me $450 a year and everything from hospital, emergency evacuation, and lost trip is covered.

Now the only thing that I have found that is not covered is when the boat breaks down and they take you by hotel to hotel night after night - they will not give you a refund because you did get A VACATION. And they think that is a fun vacationl

So folks think about this because even a trip to grandma's is covered for a year.

  5. Joe I am not a travel agent but I have a very good one. You really need one sometimes to save money. I have gotten the $100 discount being ex military so many times it equals a free cruise. You get it registered with Carnival for all their ships with a copy of your honorable discharge, or proof of active military. That is not all if you own shares of Carnival stock you get another $100 discount. Better find a good agent - they are worth their weight in gold.

  6. We are considering a Panama Canal cruise on the Island Princess. I was all set to book my typical balcony stateroom location when it occurred to me that there are probably some balconies better suited for this cruise than others....and that I don't know what I don't know.

So I figured I would ask here where there are people in the know:

Is it better to be higher? Lower? Aft? Forward? Is there a better location to be in for a Panama Canal cruise?

    Thanks in advance.

    Greetings Bro

You did get some wrong info by travelers that said that they had not been on the ship. 1st clue. The Island Princess has two draw backs to Balcony cabins. The largest cabins BE (234 Sp Ft) on emerald Deck and I had originally booked one until my ticket came and said: Please be aware that Outside Cabin Balcony Doors will be locked during Lock Transits of the Panama Canal as cables are attached to ship to keep it from striking the walls and these are directly outside your balcony and extremely dangerous.

Hence I changed my cabin to deck 11 BE Which has it"s drawback that the teen center is down the hallway from the rooms or the hallway is the passageway to the Teen Center. If you do not mind someone talking loud, Boy/Girl private party outside you door, this is the next best bet. There is only one of these taken so far as of yesterday. The front is totally sold out H M M M I wonder why?

Remember the food service is at the back and the Main Lounge, Pools, Casino, etc are easily reached by Forward elevators and secondary by MidShip elevators. If you need to exercise off the 13 possible times and places to eat on board each day, a room at the Forward will assist in depletion of calories.

My wife and I are on the SFran to Ft Laud Dec 5, 2018 Island Princess

  7. I too take cruises to relax and enjoy life and see the beautiful world God has made for us to enjoy, as well as the entertaining activities of people who are usually funnier than a trip to Wally-World. No I have no desire to use my phone on board. It goes into the safe for a week to 21 days hibernation. I also do not answer my phone for any reason whatsoever when I am in conversation with someone - as it will insult the person and let them know they are not important whatsoever. No emergency gives us the opportunity to be rude to others - that instead is a time to show allegiance.
