We are on the June 17 sailing too! Surprised that the shore excursions have not opened yet.

The sand was good. We didn’t see a lot of seaweed. It was a bit rough and rocky so maybe not the best for swimming but it was worth it for the solitude.

We spent the day at an off the beaten path beach at Hotel Maya Luna.  It was wonderful! Very quiet- no beach vendors. We contacted them in advance and they set up chairs and a palapa for us. We had the place to ourselves! We had a delicious lunch- you must try the shrimp stuffed pineapple. The drinks were good too and very reasonable.  It was a little tough getting a taxi on the way back, though, so I would recommend you pre arrange the transportation.

I would be interested in trying this as well. Does anyone know if it would work while at sea or only in port?

I finally heard from his as well from the email eldelfin@turcios.com. It makes me just a little nervous to be sending money in advance of the tour. At least ifyou use a credit card you have some protection.

Let us know if you hear from him. we are going around Christmas time and want to do the humanitarian tour, but only if the schools are open, so that's why we really want to speak with him before making plans...

I sent a message via his website last week - no response. Today I sent him and emailed and it bounced back with an error message. Any suggestions?
