  1. The last time we disembarked at Miami we took a cab to a hotel which did day rooms (think the site is called rooms 9 to 5 or similar) we relaxed by the pool, ate lunch, showered and then had the hotel shuttle bus to the airport. It was so relaxing and a good way to finish our cruise.

  2. Aqaba in the evening is very Jordanian...men sit out with their pipes and games, in some more modern bars women are seen but appropriate dress should be worn at all times. It is a little intimidating.

  3. It doesn't make any difference where your stateroom is situated, there is always room on deck for everyone. Sunbeds are plentiful with helpful staff to source beds for those who need assistance. Azamara guests do not usually reserve a bed and then leave it for hours, there is not the need.

  4. Lucca is a delightful walled town with winding streets, cute coffee shops with delicious pastries, wonderful shops and a church or two! Much classier than Pisa although that tower is pretty amazing, it is almost all there is to see.

  5. We have been opposite the laundry on Quest and did not hear a thing, and I am a light sleeper. There are always sounds to be heard from the laundry in the corridor but bear in mind there are two doors between the cabin and the laundry. There is very little noise at the lifts (elevators) on Azamara ships, small quiet ships with considerate passengers.

  6. Hi....I am 70 years old and spent my last cruise on Journey dancing with a 14 year old...amazing dancer!

There were a couple of babies and children onboard but this was the first time we have cruised with children. In the main 30's to 80's and a lovely mix.

At dinner it is smart casual and most people dress well...in Asia where it was very hot it was a little more casual but ladies still have a few sequins in their T shirts!

  7. On Journey now..Azamara as good as ever but the entertainment just isn't working...not a deal breaker for us but many moans and discontent when discussed the following day with fellow cruisers.

We were invited to an officers table to dine and he asked our opinions...Az is aware that there is a lot of fine tuning to be done and it isn't right yet.

  8. Yes..TravelBugM... but our E docs still state the original, now void, stateroom number....have been online to check our situation, no change, and we leave our little island very soon for Singapore.

  9. Hi.... Two weeks ago I printed out our e.docs and luggage labels for our forthcoming cruise. Two days ago we were offered, and accepted, an upgrade to a better cabin. Does anyone have experience of what happens about new luggage labels?:o
