Thanks for all the replies.
We are fine with "Elegant Casual", we were worried it would be formal. We are looking at a Deluxe Veranda Suite or Concierge Suite but, I also have a good list of local tour operators from our PG research. I will ask about the local dive op's on Scubaboard. Travelcat2, we will look at your link from the resorts.

This will be our first time booking an all inclusive Luxury cruise (when they are able to sail again) and we are in the planning stage now. We were looking at booking the 11 night Cook Islands & Society Islands cruise on the Paul Gauguin. Then we came across the Regent Seven Seas Cruises and like the ship and packages much better and are looking at the 10 night Papette to Papette cruise and have a couple of questions. What is the dress code for dinner? How far ahead should we plan on booking the cruise and how far ahead do we have to book the excursions? Do they have a scuba program similar to the PG?
thanks for your help.

I am looking for any reviews or anyone who has sailed recently with Achipels cruises, They are an 8 passenger catamaran. We are considering booking their 11 night Polynesia Dream Cruise. I didn't know where to start but thought this would as good as place as any.

I have high blood pressure and take 160 mg.Valsartan. I dive all the time about 70 dives a year, most in the dark, cold Great Lakes. There is absolutely no reason not to dive. If your doctor isn't a dive medicine doctor, then it is a waste of time to ask him about it. If you have been on your medication for a while and know how your body reacts to it, then you won't have any worries or problems. I would answer no to all the question on the release form or you won't dive.

Not stupid at all. Scrubbing the mask with toothpaste removes the silicone film from the manufacturing process. If you don't do that your mask will constantly fog up. You will still have to use defog on your mask every time you use it. I just spit in my mask but some people don't like doing that. Just get the cheapo Sea Drops. Make sure the mask is dry before using the defog. Squirt a little into the inside of each lens and rub it in with your finger, then rinse it. If you are not going to using your mask for a while fill it with water until you are ready to use it then rinse it. If you don't you will have to start over. FYI, if your mask still fogs up, it is probably because you are breathing thru your nose. This breaks the seal that causes it to fog up.

Be sure to use toothpaste not the gel. Then use an old toothbrush to scrub it, you won't hurt your mask. You may have to do this a couple of times.

The diving in Cozumel is amazing but it is all drift diving. You must be comfortable diving in current and ascending without a line.
My dive op's of choice are http://www.scubatony.com/ and Jeremy at http://www.living-underwater.com/

Just joined the form.Wow. I remember my parents took my brother and I on the New Bahama Star. I think I was about 12 and remember thinking it was cool that we got to go to the casino and play the slot machines. My brother and I got escorted to our parents by a crew member for yelling "iceberg dead ahead" down all the call tubes.

Water clarity is affected by the Turbidity or suspended particles in the water
This will explain it better than I can. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbidity
When you first get a new mask you have to remove the silicone residue from the manufacturing process. Take some toothpaste (not the gel) and put some on the inside of the lens of your mask. Then take a toothbrush and really scrub the toothpaste in. You won't hurt the mask. You may have to do this a couple of times. You will have to defog your mask every time before you use it. Make sure your mask is dry and then squirt some defog on the mask and rub it in with your finger.. If you aren't ready to use it right away, put some water in it to prevent the defog from drying out or you will have to start over. When your ready to use your mask, give it a quick rinse out and your ready to go. If you breathe through your nose while snorkeling, that will fog up your mask also.
Possible first time Regent Seven Seas Cruise (Tahiti)

We are leaning towards the Concierge Suite because it includes a free 1 night pre cruise package which includes free ground transfers, breakfast and porterage. Our thought is you just use your cabin for sleeping and showering, so we don't need a bigger one. Maybe this is the wrong way of thinking?
