We are going to be in Cozumel and are interested in being on a catamaran or similar type boat without the snorkeling stops. We’d like to go to a nice beach or sandbar and swim off the boat, but not spend all day snorkeling. Does anyone know of an experience like this that would include snacks and beverages?

Very much enjoyed our last cruise with aqua class on Infinity. Loved eating in Blu and being able to also order off MDR menu. Anyone that has specifically been on Reflection, have you been able to do that on this ship?
Also, any great spots we should not miss on this ship?

I successfully used these gift cards several years ago when I was going to cruise on Carnival. I went to look today and it appears that they no longer have the E gift cards and I have to have them sent in the mail. Does anyone know if there is any way around this?

Going to Havana for one day in October.

I have reached out to the four places I saw mentioned the most;

I asked for a car with AC to take us around and that we would like to go shopping, to lunch, to hear some live music, see the Fusterlandia area, maybe Havana Club tour and open to other suggestions. Then I asked for someone to take us out at night to somewhere to hear music but not Tropicana or somewhere large and showy.

Two of the places responded right away.

Both want to do a 9 to 3 tour.

We don't get into port until 10am and then I understand we might not get to get right off, and still need to exchange money.

One has quoted me $185 and the other $120. Big difference.

One said nothing about the evening. The other told me we would be fine going to the old city in front of the port ourselves.

Is there anything else I should be asking? I have one day and want to do this right.

I've done the Chef's Table five or six times, but never on the Liberty. Doing that next week. I've loved each and every dinner.

We were able to purchase two bottles at 50% off but had to finish one bottle and have the second bottle opened there. Challenge accepted and completed. :)

I got Jacksonville to Bahamas for 5 nights, free just pay port taxes. Booked knowing I couldn't go but it was birthday gift for my mother.

Next day Port Canaveral to Bahamas, 4 nights, $50 pp, 50 OBC. Booked, took my wife for her birthday.

You were able to book and not go? Your name did not have to go on the booking?

I saw one two weeks ago for last week that was $159 for 5 days out of PC with a $100 OBC pp. If I didn't already have a trip planned I would have pounced!

Do you log on to Carnival and click on your name, then go to My Offers on the left? Then would it show up to the right where it says Special Offers Just for You?

I was there last week. We walked from the ship and landed at Tiki Bikini. Byron and Diva took care of us. For $50 we got 2 lounge chairs, an umbrella, 8 mixed drinks, and 8 shots. Cheap strong rum, rather crowded as there were 4 ships in port, but lots of fun. The water was great and no one bothered you.

I ate at the steak house twice last week. The stuffed mushrooms are amazing and the wasabi potatoes were fabulous. Everything was very good but those two things were outstanding.

I believe I read on another thread that the Fascination is going to Fort Lauderdale this weekend to debark passengers who want to get off, then plans to return to San Juan on Monday to deliver humanitarian supplies and debark the rest of the passengers. As we saw in Galveston, that Monday plan might turn out to be a bit farther along in the calendar before they can make use of the port in San Juan.

I've read that for Royal's AoS but I hadn't seen that for Fascination as yet.

They would not cancel the cruise. They will change the itinerary.

 

Ours was change just this morning for our September 30th eastern Caribbean cruise to Western.

I'm on this Oct 1 cruise, as well. It could be cancelled if the port in San Juan was badly damaged today. I keep checking the news, but don't see anything definitive yet. Same with the airport, I would guess.

After just going through Irma and being without power for almost a full week myself, I feel terrible that Puerto Rico is going through all this. I have been obsessing over this cruise to get my mind off of the damage we have had here, so I selfishly want the damage to San Juan to be minimal.

I'm also on the 10/1 sailing and I'm super excited! The islands they will take us to weren't hit like St Thomas and St Martin. I'm just waiting for an official statement about the new stops so I can book excursions. It'll be a great cruise, don't stress!

Me, too! I've already picked out what I want to do on these new stops.

If I ever get power back at my house, I'll start packing for vacation.

I can't imagine not having air booked for a cruise in less than 2 weeks, but that's just me.

You are very welcome. I did Valor on this itinerary a while back also. Didn't even realize Liberty did it between Valor and Fascination. I specifically wanted to go on the Calabaza Catamaran again in Barbados so that was a big reason for picking this cruise. I would do this size ship again no problem. It really was nice and while a bit smaller, they had almost all the same food places and shows. I think it's also going to dry dock next year and may get a few updates.

Care to tell us about Calabaza Catamaran? I looked them up and they look interesting. A bit pricey. What makes them worth it? I assume quality of service, but I'd like your opinion.

I see a promo/discount code when you check out. Do you know where to get one?

It's winter in the tropics. I don't live far from the port. It could be freezing <for us>, it could be in the 80's. We've had both conditions through the years. You'd do better to look at the weather a few weeks out.

Since you live more north you could probably wear light weight clothes and bring a jacket in case it gets cold.

As much as I would like to unplug on vacation, I know I will still want to keep up on email and check on my family. I don't necessarily need to call anyone, but email or FB messenger would be nice. I am thinking that's the Value Plan. Could I get away with the Social Plan?
