  1. Congrats on your cruise! They are all a blast. My DH and I (both 55 ish) cruised out of this port last year and had a great time. I'm sure any Hampton Inn would be comfortable, but I think you may want to be a bit closer to the terminal. Maybe you should look at any Channelside or Rocky Point Hotel.

We were there pre-cruise, a Sunday evening, and walked around and had dinner in Ybor City. I wouldn't recommend it on a Fri/Sat night- it can get rowdy. However, it was fun for a bit of adventure.

    I hope this helps.

  2. We visited Nachi last year and we have reservations again for this fall. It's was peaceful and beautiful. The guacamole was awesome, and the service was great. We thought we would spend just a couple of hours there, but we ended spending the entire day there. So relaxing.

We haven't visited the other places yet, but will someday to get a better perspective.

    Happy Cruisein!

  3. There are numerous knooks with coffee shops all within walking distance of the ships. Also, a couple of Starbucks which are easy to find. You can google walking maps and you'll have lots of options.

However, many enclosed coffee & cigar shops generally cater to men. It just customary. :)

  4. I'm searching for a new bag that will hold everything. I usually pack several small to medium sized bags tp keep things organized, but this system is out of control. I need 1 big bag with packets and zippered compartments instead of a bag every kind of item. I'm tired of separate bags for make up, hair , jewelry, and toiletries. Then also a beach/pool bag too.

How do you ladies pack all your extra stuff? :)

    Thanks!

  5. My DH and stayed at the Radisson at the Port in November and I don't think we'll be a repeat customer there.

First, our room wasn't ready, which can sometimes happen, but not ready 2 hours later? Our room, which was reserved and paid for wasn't ready until after 6 pm.

Next, I think it was VERY noisiest room we've ever stayed in.

There are lots of moderately priced rooms in the area that would serve you better. We enjoy the La Quinta & Suites Oceanfront- the one near a pier.

    I just wanted to share.

  6. My cruise is for only 5 nights.

    That's 1 formal, & 1 night at Portofinos

    2 bathing suits

    2 shorts

    1 jeans

    2 or 3 sweaters

    2 button down shirts

    6 tees

    1 casual maxi skirt

    2 semi casual maxi dresses

    1 pr Sandals (flats)

    Tennis shoes

    Flip flops

    Black fancy pumps

    Neutral strappy sandals

    Shoes don't really count, right?

  7. I don't want to overpack, but.......

According to the WWW I should be able to take 16 articles of clothing and spin them into 40 great outfits.

Ouch! My brain hurts, I think I'm having a seizure or maybe it's just some kind of withdraw?

I'm leaving in 3 days and I've collected my stuff in the spare bedroom, I'm afraid to actually try to put it into any kind of suitcase!

Can I just pay someone to do this for me?

    Mary
