I received a large amount of OBC due to a price drop on my cruise.  Can you use this towards booking a new cruise once on board?

I am also on this cruise. My husband and I booked a room on deck 3. When we arrived at the ship we were told they moved us to deck 8. I'm not sure if this is because deck 3 is saved for quarantining. I have seen many passengers onboard Not wearing masks inside. Most of the people dancing the last few nights did not have them on. The Martini Bar was packed and no one had them on. We were in the theater and left because no one had them on near us. Yes, while walking around they have them on, but I do not feel comfortable sitting near someone without a mask. So, we just get up and move. We are being extra careful wearing KN95 masks. I think the captain should announce that it is mandatory to wear a mask indoors. Hopefully the numbers will not rise and we will not be denied entry into the ports.

We did not join the roll call, but me and hubby will be on the cruise along with another couple as long as we don't test positive.

Thank you for this information.  I thought I had read this from a post, but was not positive about it.  It totally makes sense to just be tested once.  I'm so glad you clarified.

96 hours is the PCR test for Bermuda. 72 hours is an Antigen test for NCL to be reimbursed in case you test positive at the dock and want to be reimbursed.

The current position of NORWEGIAN BREAKAWAY is at West Mediterranean (coordinates 36.14549 N / 5.36622 W) reported 2 mins ago by AIS. The vessel is en route to FUNCHAL MADEIRA, and expected to arrive there on Sep 10, 11:00.

Where did you find this?  Is it only for certain sailings?

My husband and I have done the "World Wine Tour" and "Wine Pairing".  We enjoyed the World Wine Tour more as it was more casual.  There is cheese and crackers and different wines are set up at different locations.  You walk from station to station and try.  If you like a particular one you can go back and have more.  It was very informal and you were on your own.  They may have told about the wines before it started or handed out a paper, I cannot remember.  If you find a wine you like take a picture of the bottle and ask to have a glass of it at dinner. The Wine Pairing is a sit down and lecture.  They have you try a particular food and then the wine that goes with it.  If you have never been to one you should try it.  Your sommelier at dinner will be able to tell you when the wine events are being held.  I believe he can even reserve this for you.

Another way we spend our on-board credit is to order a more expensive wine at dinner or at a bar.  Talk to the sommelier and explain what you like.  I sort of have my own wine tasting.  They will only charge you the difference over the premium drink price.

On our next cruise we are going to try the Mixology 101.  You are behind the bar with a bartender and make specialty drinks.  This was found under excursions.  I'm assuming it will be held on a sea day.

Thank you for posting the video.  I feel this is the only way that so many cabins can be installed in such a short amount of time.  I had also view this video previously and found it very informative.  Why do I have so much time on my hands???  I'm currently stuck at home with a broken femoral neck (upper leg/hip).  Unfortunately a very long recovery.

I also think that the cabins being installed are modular.  I do think that everything was ripped out, but the new modular cabins will be installed from the inside.  The balconies may just be touched up.  This is just my thinking and feel it is the fasted way this could be done for so many cabins in a short amount of time.  There is a lot of information if you google "how modular cruise ship cabins are installed". There is a lot of information of how older cruise ships carry more weight and needs to be torn out before new areas of cabins can be installed.  It all has to do stability of the ship.  Much more technical than I know anything about. Below is a picture of a Carnival cabin being delivered for a refurbishment - onto the hull of the ship.

Hi Norma, On Facebook I searched "Millennium drydock".  I have tried searching all different names and this one had some pictures.  There is also a short video of them painting the ship.  I would love to see how they are refurbishing the cabins and put an end to all the guessing of modular vs. tear down.  I wish there was more information.

I will be on this sailing also. We will be the five ladies celebrating our 60th Birthday's...all friends since grammar school and high school. I have sailed on the Summit to Bermuda four times and to Bermuda six. I will never get tired of either. I have enjoyed Cellar Masters in the past. The bartender has always recommended a nice red to try according to my likes.

If you see five crazy ladies say hello! Cheers to a wonderful cruise!
