  1. You are reasonably close to the stairs and elevator, but not close to the Solarium. Right above you is Windjammer (the buffet), so there is some potential to hear some early morning noises.

Thanks Bob. Great news about stairs and elevators. Potential early morning noises don't worry us at all but all night noises from a connecting cabin most certainly would!

  2. there is a HUGE price difference if you let the cruiselines pick your cabin. Its called a guarantee.

IF you booked a guarantee the chances of you moving is slim to none-- but I would ask anyways

To book a guarantee and NOT get any kind of upgrade--even one level sucks

If you paid to pick your own cabin-- then pick your own cabin.

Yes, I would be moving from that area.

dancers practice after midnight. and if you want to go to bed early you will get the thump thump thump from the music.

being this forward its going to be a VERY long walk to the food sometimes 2 times a day--- by midweek that walk will be long.

same category-- see whats available around 2436. Dining rooms are carpeted-- no noise issue. Puts you close to elevators/ stairs to get you to where you gotta go

Travelling on Adventure of the Seas in May with my 82yo mother. She booked through a travel agent and had never heard of "cabin guarantee". Apparently that's what we had. When I checked our allocated cabin, I was very disappointed to find it was #6375 which had a doorway through to the next cabin. I contacted the TA, who contacted RCI and we have been moved to #1353 with no additional charge. I'm hoping this works much better for us and am very happy with the alteration with no hassle.

  3. Connecting cabins can be noisy. However you can contact the ta and ask for a different cabin none connecting in the same category if available they will move you

Thank you so much for this suggestion. I contacted the travel agent and RC agreed to transfer us to another cabin at no extra charge. I feel happier already.

  4. Greetings Folks,

I'm taking this cruise with my 82yo mother. She booked through a travel agent as a flight/transfers/accommodation/cruise package. We have been allocated an interior cabin towards the rear of Level 6 which seems okay but the only thing that worries me is that it has an icon indicating that it connects to the cabin next door. Will noise be a factor here? Will we hear them and will they hear us and does the connecting door cut down on space or furniture in our cabin? Sorry, a few questions but invite AOS expert opinion. I'm sure there will be other enquiries before our departure. We have both travelled extensively, usually independently and are very much looking forward to our first cruise together. At her age, my mum is always looking for new experiences.

  5. In general, yes. On the cruises we've been on folks taking the ships excursions gathered somewhere (usually in the theater) and then went by groups to join their tour - first off the ship for morning tours. For afternoon tours you just got your tender tickets and went when your number was called. We would go ashore in the morning anyway and look around, maybe stop in a local place for lunch, etc.

Check out the port in Google Earth to see what the town looks like, where the docks are, etc.

Thank you for this information. All the more reason to book through the cruiseline.
