For our October 2024 Island Princess voyage I found EZ Air was easily $900.00pp more expensive for biz class than booking directly with the airline.

I just checked our business class airfare with Virgin Atlantic in September. With easy air we are paying $4592.72 for TWO people. Virgin Atlantic wants $5772 for ONE person for the same exact flight. We swear by EZ Air for international flights.

For the most part I have had good luck with EZAir. I have had no problem booking a flight a day early and I wouldn't think two days early would be a problem. You have a pretty good selection of flights and times. They don't offer budget airlines.  Also depending on the airline, you can't pick your seats until final payment. I don't remember which airlines.

A few years ago, I used EZAir for flights to and from Fort Lauderdale. I noticed that our flights had gotten cheaper by about $200. I was able to rebook with no fees.

We quite often fly in 3 to 4 days early & use EZ air all the time.

    Followed by this ^....Hmm...what did I miss?😕

If you look up gratuities, all suites are $23.00 per day, per person. We will likely not use the butler & ask for nothing more from a room steward than if we were in a regular cabin. It seems quite steep to us

On a 12 day cruise you will most likely end up with 2 "Formal" nights and 1 "Dress to Impress" night. On our recent 63 day (6 cruise) trip we found that pretty much nobody but us was aware of the "Dress to Impress" nights. To us it was "odd" that nobody seemed to have a clue. We got asked, "Is it a Formal Night or something?" multiple times. Perhaps it was the region - Australia/New Zealand - but we have never seen so few people who "dressed" for the specialty nights. Also, we have never seen people in the main dining rooms in such an "under dressed" fashion - not only on the "Formal" or "Dress to Impress" nights but also on regular nights. We have never seen people in such ratty and tacky clothing in a Princess dining room. Ratty shirts and shorts and flip flops in the Main Dining Rooms didn't use to be allowed.

Yes, all of the "It's MY cruise so bite me!" people can shake their heads at the uptight old fart but... Cruising used to be more dignified and people seemed to have more dignity and self respect. While the dress of others didn't "ruin our cruise" it certainly was sad to see such a tacky display of "The People of Walmart" dress.

Pretty soon people will wear their painting clothes & farm mucking boots to dinner. After All "it is their cruise." As my Mother always said "Class will tell."

  5. We took early payment for our air fare May 4 to London. Yesterday I found a lower price by nearly $500 & changed our flight. My question is: what will happen with the nearly $500 we saved? This is nearly 4 months away still. The Princess EZ it website let me make the change. Now what happens?

Loving your reports. We board after your cruise. Did same ship and itinerary in March and had to do it again. Nice part it is for 12 nights and not 11 like last time. Thinking it gives the ship some extra time to get back in case of fog. Not to jinx it...

Is Colon still on for tomorrow? Ships have not stopped there the past few weeks due to the mining protests in Panama.

    Hi Neighbor:

We board as well on Dec. 10. Can't wait.

It may be out of many cruisers' budget as it is quite pricey. It's certainly in a great position and very convenient to ferries and other public transport as well as cafes and restaurants.

Literally the best hotel we have ever stayed in.

  8. OMG! Yes. We just got off the Caribbean Princess. No strip steak on the daily available. Formal night: no steak, no prime rib, no lobster. The best thing on the menu was orange duck, a very small piece & quite dry. I never thought I would see the day there was meatloaf on an "upscale" cruise line, but I did this sailing. We feel the quality of food has gone way down hill since Covid, and sadly we are paying more to cruise.

The ship was short staffed and it took a minimum of 10 minutes to get a beverage. There were 2 times we never got our drink.

Waterloo train was awesome, about $16pp and it took 1 hr 15 minutes to Southampton.  The train drops you about 1.5 miles from the cruise dock, we took a taxi as it was too far to walk with luggage. That cost an additional $10 for all 4 of us. We stayed in London 2 nights prior to getting on the Regal and our hotel was literally right outside the Waterloo train station so this was super convenient.  We also took the Elizabeth line/Northern Line from Heathrow into London and had no issues, much cheaper than an uber.

What hotel did you stay at?

  10. I just checked our one way flight from London to Tampa. Our same exact flight by the airline is $5899. We are booked with an EZ air flexible flight for $1949.96. If the price goes down (which it has a few times) we merely cancel the existing booking & book at the new lower price.

For international travel we always use EZ air.
