Here's the link to get proof of vaccine:

    https://www.nhsinform.scot/covid-19-vaccine/after-your-vaccine/get-a-record-of-your-coronavirus-covid-19-vaccination-status

I used the online route and it was a breeze.

  2. The Channel Islands of Jersey, Guernsey and the other tiny ones are not in the EU, neither is Gibraltar or the Canary Islands "in Spain".

Hopefully, after the referendum on June 23rd, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland will no longer be part of the European super-state either.

Sorry to be controversial, but I just feel that way this minute!

    Politics?

    On a cruise critic thread?

You get today's bravery award ;)

  3. The very definition of Modern Luxury, even McDonalds haven't thought of that. Maybe, instead of background music, someone could make regular announcements over the loudspeaker what the rules of the ship are and the punishments to be handed down to those who break the rules.

    :D ROFL, Love it!

Keel hauling, flogging round the fleet, etc, etc

We'll get the Class back into Celebrity

    :D

  4. Personally I agree it is a minor thing to me. Others seem to view it as a major event.

However the poster was giving opinions on the legality or not for bookings in the UK. He/she is an American with obviously no detailed knowledge of our consumer protection laws.

I wouldnt pontificate on US legislation as I have only limited knowledge - and my next cruise is under their jurisdiction as we booked via a USA travel agent.[emoji32]

With regard to 'pontificating', don't say 'our laws' in relation to UK if you really mean England.

Scotland has it's own legal system, including in the area of consumer law (the new Consumer Rights Act reflects this).

Also, on other threads you've been dissing cle-guy, stop it now. Curt puts so much time into helping others out and you're being petty.

  5. Hi roundthenextcorner

Thanks for the tip about the tasting session, I'll keep my eye out for that event,

I'm always keen to learn something new?

I'm also intreaged to know that there are people out there that actually like having thier drinks watered down?? (Just kidding)

I like nothing better that neat scotch, but I'd get in trouble if I drank to many

    Kind Regards

Aye, we all get in trouble if we drink too many ;)

My apologies for mistakenly thinking you were using a mixer to mask the taste, glad to hear you like it neat. There's very few whiskies I would add water to, and only then it's to enhance the aroma not the taste.

I'm going to a tasting session in Edinburgh early next year, not only Scotch but a bourbon as well! And possibly something from Japan!!

I was a bit disappointed with lack of Scotch selection on Solstice last year, hoping it's better on Eclipse next year.

    Cheers

  6. Hi bar 20

    Thanks for your comments,

The reason why I asked for a separate can of ginger with my scotch is so that I can add the amount of mixer that I like.

I noticed that when anyone ordered drinks with thier vouchers the barman obtained them from a different location through a separate door so I had no idea of the amounts of anything ie (scotch or mixers) that were being served, and the quality varied a lot.

As I like consistant quality I decided to purchase a classic bev package for my self, and when I ordered a scotch and can of ginger from the same barman with my card he obtained it from the main bar in the sky lounge!!!. and it tasted a little beter I just thought it a little strange

    "Just an observation"

Please please please, for the love of everything that is pure, stop mixing Scotch with anything except water. Good men devote their lives to perfecting their distilleries unique product, don't just dismiss their efforts and bung some ginger in! Visit Weber & Tring's in Bristol when they have a tasting session and let them guide you in a fuller appreciation of the single malt.

    Happy Cruising
