Boytjie, that's not true.  If you see in your photo, we were docked way to the left in the cargo area port.  It was definitely not right in downtown Oranjestad.  Took a taxi 30 minutes to get there and 30 minutes to return with the traffic.  Just wondering if anyone who has docked there in the NA recently and can tell me which area the ship docked.  Thanks so much 

The last time we sailed on Holland America the ship docked quite far from downtown in Aruba and you had to taxi to the downtown area.  The same occurred in Curacao.  Can anyone tell me where the NA docks in these ports and is it walk-able?  My knees are not as good as they used to be and I'm just trying to decide if I need to book a shore excursion or if we can enjoy the town on our own.  Thank you so much for your info. 

Am also interested in anyone who has used this service.  Do you need to pick up your bags in the "warehouse" upon disembarkation or are the bags automatically sent to your home?  This is my question since I have an early departure from Fort Lauderdale airport (11:30).  Although I can get off the ship early, I need to know if I need to take the time to bring my luggage somewhere upon disembarkation.

Also, has anyone has a problem where their baggage has not made it to the ship on time?

Would love to use this service, but am anxious about making our luggage to the ship.

Thank you sooo much for you response.  Just am nervous about missing our flight.  Not necessarily about getting to the airport, but going through security.  Have never been to Fort Lauderdale before (only Atlanta) and there it could take at least two hours or more to get through security.  Do you think I should be worried and change my flight for 3 hours later?

I originally had a flight out of Fort Lauderdale airport after a cruise in Feb 22 at 12:07.  Thought that would be enough time get to the airport after departure if I took the Holland America bus to the airport.  Delta has changed my flight to 11:30.  Am I cutting it too close, or should I agree to the change?  Please, I need help from those who have perhaps done the transfer previously.  Am not sure when the next flight would leave Fort Lauderdale.

Does anyone know the difference between the Aft Haven Suites on the different levels.  The suite 10914 looks like the interior is smaller and has a wraparound balcony, while 11912 and 13906 look like the interiors are larger and does not show the wraparound balcony.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone of a website that shows whether a ship docks or uses a tender in port? Going on the Rotterdam to the Caribbean in December 2018. Ports are Key West, San Juan, St Thomas, St Johns, Saint Lucia, Curacao, Aruba, and Georgetown Cayman Islands. Want to purchase excursions (Not through Holland America) and need to know if we can make them if we have to tender off the ship. Thanks so much.

Anyone know what hotel/casino in affiliated with Wind Creek Casino? Also, is it walkable or where would you get a taxi from the Cruise terminal? Thanks so much

STOP! People need to smoke and anything you complain about will not detract from that. Give them their nights in the casino (don't go there those nights if you have a problem since they are probably making more money from the smokers) and give them the FEW areas of the ship they can smoke! They are also paying a premium for the SA balcony cabins for which they cannot use to smoke.! STOP STOP COMPLAINING! These are the rules and if you don't like them, sail another cruise line!

Please! Please! Do not demean my husband. We all know he should stop smoking. We are planning a cruise on the Rotterdam in December 2018, and are wondering where on the ship he is allowed to smoke. Thanks very much for you concern and consideration!
