  1. Hello Bonedoc2; we too researched the vow renewal with Celebrity. I start by saying here is what their site refers to:

When booking a wedding or a vow renewal, our team will put you incontact with The Wedding Experience, our partners in romance. Simply provideyour Wedding Experience Consultant with your group booking number to startplanning and coordinating the unique moments that can be part of saying "IDo" or "I Still Do" aboard a Celebrity cruise.

Call one of our group specialists

    1-888-727-4907

That being said, be careful and read the information you are sent carefully! There are various ceremonies available; some with "an officer" and then the "captain". It is quite ala carte in the planning; flowers, music, photos, 1 8oz glass of champagne for two, do you what ceremony on board or at a special location such as beach while in port. We opted to wait and do renewals on the beach in Hawaii.

    Good luck!

  2. Hi fellow cruisers :) I will be sailing on the Summit in July with a group of 22. Many, but not all, know each other. I would like to pre-arrange a meet-n-greet for after we board the ship so everyone can get acquainted. Ship leaves Bayonne at 4:00 pm. I am new to the Summit. Any suggestions as to where and when would be best in order to avoid crowds?

Ask to meet with the Group Coordinator/Event Coordinator on-board. With large groups you may also be able to pre-arrange special events such as casino slot tournament; putting contest; bridge tours, etc.

  3. We called Celebrity and have booked one for Sept cruise.

I will say, we had booked an alcove while on Silhouette last year...just a heads up; the alcove itself was great! However, many, many people came and either sat and or laid on the lawn OR came and played

Croquet so it was very crowded in the alcove area.

  4. We booked 2 Alcoves on the Silhouette. Tip; the Alcove is assigned when you arrive at the Alcove location; so if you want to have the "pick of the litter" go up early the day you have requested OR go up the day ahead and speak with the Alcove attendant. He/she will do their best to accommodate your needs.

We used the Alcove at varied times throughout the 3 days we had them; had 4-6 people at any one time; used the iPad provided in the Alcove and found the experience worth the price.

The attendant provided great service; offered suggestions on other activities and was gracious to take photos in the oversized large adorondack chairs on the lawn.

    Enjoy!

  5. We were on Silhouette and the muster was 45 minutes prior to sail away. Muster was actually held in lounges, casino and other non deck areas. No need to go back to cabin to retrieve the lifevest!

Our drill was held in the art gallery and they had large TV's and speakers so we could listen to the drill information. Quick event!

    Regards,

    Maria
